Yes the % of dead and wounded is not historical at all.
Do some reading and stop day dreaming, this is a historical game an not a fairytale.

So according to this logic, the Germans should NEVER suffer higher actual losses than the Soviet player, regardless of odds, in any attack. I realize I am putting words in your and Krupp's mouth, but that seems to be the conclusion. I'm not arguing that there aren't degrees that need to be established in casualty results and that some things might be off, but one can't look at one battle (where the Germans are dramatically outnumbered) and say it's proof of a huge flaw because the Germans suffered more losses.

For what it's worth, the Seelow heights battle was a balls-up by Zhukov - there was an enormous dust cloud from the artillery and a smoke screen and massed searchlight and a huge herd of Soviet infantry that couldn't work out where they were supposed to go or who they were taking orders from .. and to calm the situation Zhukov ordered a tank army to advance into them. Other examples, for example the Jassy-Kishinev operation, had much higher German casualties (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jassy%E2%80%93Kishinev_Offensive_(August_1944))

I am sure they will figure it out. We can complain all we want, but its not going to change anything.
You will just have to learn to live with the plane and 1v1 = 2v1 exploits Hooper [:D]
I just started 2 more 41-45 campaigns. This is the only active game I got, poeple just keep disappearing.
I try to keep 3 active games going. 9 peeps have resigned or quit. Hooopers the only Red out of 10 to stick around. One other guy had some bug issues and quit, but I can't count that one, no game is perfect.
I will make you earn that draw or Russian minor victory Hoooper [:@]

Its not that hard to get 50 vs 50 or 30 vs 30. Hoooper is doing a very good job picking the right spots every turn.
Nothing I can do about that. I cant defend a 150 hexes with a corps in everyone, what do you thk I am the russian player?

Hoooper and I have had .28 installed the day it came out and I nor Hoooper have seen any difference. As a matter of fact hes been making more attacks the last 5 turns.
Devs always ask the sillyist of questions, so I ask you a silly question also;
Do you have any data to support your BS claim, that its working?
Heheh I guess they call that
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circular_reasoning
I am just going off the RW data and what I been seesing, there is no difference. Hes winning a higher % of battles now then before. And I am adding up the data every 10 turns. Nothing too amazing about it, before patch he won 66% of attacks now hes winning 85% of attacks, so if its working its helping the Russian not hurting.
Pelton
Ok Sweetpea,
Just so I'm clear. Your logic is that because Hooper is winning more battles of late then the patch has actually increased the chance of Soviet victories? [8|]
It couldn't be that other factors could be contributing to that could it? For example the Soviet forces actually getting bigger and stronger, a gradual and slow weakening of the Axis forces (you'd be able to comment on that one?) through attrition sapping their overall quality. Could it be for example that without the latest changes Hooper would be actually winning more battles than he is now?
You know best though sweetpea and as you say all these BS rules that are in the game clearly shouldn't be in there since the Developers don't know what they're doing etc. Please feel free to make and design your own game.

Can you tell how much damage and disruption the soviet air force is causing on the attacks? It seems that if lots of soviet bombers get through that german losses go up. Possibly because of bombers disrupting artillery.

This i have a sneaking suspicion the excess losses are occurring due to the lack of presence of german airforce

gee, in the sole historical battle we've been presented with, Seelow Heights, the Sov losses were about 2.5 times the German losses, which is what I see very commonly in this game. So the game is obviously broken, right?

Turn 70 - 80 24515 Rifle German Squads with 800 Damaged.
--- Attacks --- Retreats --- Held
SHC ---186--- 160 --- 26
GHC --- 45 --- 40 --- 5
Net Hexes - 78
Losses from turn 70 to 80
------- --- Men --- Guns --- Tanks
GHC --- 330,788 --- 9,960 --- 1,315
SHC --- 964,370 --- 15,638 --- 3,985
OOB difference from turn 70 to 80.
SHC --- + 696,866 --- + 19,957 --- +360 --- +5998
GHC --- -160,288 --- -3,702 ---+120 --- +120
So in ten turns the SHC produced or received in reinforcements
1.6 million men, 35000 guns and 4200 tanks. More guns and tanks then the GHC has, lol! Hmm only 60% of the German Army heheh.
Looks like Russian production is about 3x the German, atleast during the last 10 turns.
I am basicly just digging and tring to hold on east of the rivers until the ice is out. Hoooper is doing a great job of hitting the soft spots in my lines. I move my tanks from one possible breakthrough spot to the next every few turns. Panzer/mech Division ToW’s are holding up, but Inf ToW’s are slowly dropping.
AGN: Fins are getting beat-up and Russians are pushing east of Leningrad. I have the fly boys digging just east of Leningrad.

I am lossing ground slowly all acroos the center, but so far I have been able to hold the line an push back where needed. I am always digging in 1 or 2 hexes behind the front, the Diggers are on refit. So retation is working out nicely and armor is always on a railhead when refitting.

AGS: Crimea is still locked down.
Around Stalino hes going to be out flanking it withen 4 or 5 turns at the most. Over all the lines holding up. Looking back on it building forts behind the River was a waste of time. I should have been building another row of level 3 forts behind the 2 to 3 rows I alrdy had.
The river will only be good if its not froozen anyways.
I am going to be getting a bump in production come 43 I hope it will bring up my troop numbers some other wise they only go up even during mud turns 10k with zero combat. I am using minor allies as much as possible in the front to keep the German loses to a min and only counter attacking with mech or panzer divisions.
ONLY 145 TURNS TO GO !!!!

Turn 83 1/14/1943
Hoooper is pounding away and I am tring to hang on until mud season east of the rivers. The huge increase in troops he got between 70 and 80 is taking its tole on my army.
He lost 1 million men but his army increased by 700k, lol.
He lost 15k guns, but his total increased by 19k
He lost 4k tanks, but increased 360.
There are 7 turns until mud season hits.
I am tring to shorten lines and regruop armys, sending armor to the rear to refit.
Land bridge has 2 lines of level 3 forts, but with the 1v1 = 2v1 and his high CV's now it will be basicly be Kursk at the land bridge during 43/44.
I will post pictures and loses at turn 90.
