Turn 12, 9/4/1941

Stalled.

AGC, Moscow

We outflank the massive defenses. But getting to Moscow before winter is still far from certain.

AGC, Kursk

Attacking in a north-easterly direction. Getting to Voronezh before winter would be ideal.

AGS, Kharkov

There are no important objectives east of Kharkov. But the further from Berlin we get, the better.

AGS, Dnepr

Rostov is the ultimate objective here.

Turn 13, 9/11/1941

I open the turn and see this. It looks bad, I got overconfient. However, it could be a blessing in disguise. The opening of the front allows us to break the defense lines and rout several units further south. If only those infantry can hold out for one week.

Rzhev will now fall, previously it was held too strongly.

Moscow

Notice how there is still nothing to the east.

The war in the south is basically over for the season.

We get overconfident and 13th Panzer Div is in trouble. The problem isn't enemy strength but fuel.

Have you tracked what production your destroyed?  Particularly in the south where it's more abundant.

Sorry I don't track anything, the game should do that for me. Trying to keep each turn to around 30 minutes.

Quite some industry has been overrun though.

Many, many attacks fail against the powerful defensive positions. We absolutely must close this pocket before mud.

We'll probably reach, but not take, Rostov.

Turn 16, 10/2/1941

The Soviets are too strong in front of Moscow. Time to prepare for winter.
