Not easy to get 3 million dead post 1.05. Evac and retreat. Very very hard to get Russian army below 4.5 million even. Up side is with so little fighting German army stays above 3.3 million before blizzard.

Gain as much space as possible from Tula south and start digging a January fort line Smolensk to Stalino. Try to push past the forts 8 to 12 hexes atleast.

This will greatly reduse your losses, his wins and his guard units going into 42.

Grind north continues. My southern thrust is effective proportionally to amount of used troops.

T11 centre


There is practically no possibility for me to capture anything but Heavy Industry, so I pocket what I can where I can. Desperate time, desperate measures. I hope they won't lead to desperate situation when blizzard arrives.

T11 south


Infantry is again close to the front, so if Encircled will try to defend this position I will be able to run proper resistance test of his troops. I hope it will happen, buy knowing him it won't.

T11 Crimea


To be honest I am not entirely sure what I am doing here. XXX Corps could have been used better I guess.

T12 north

I feel I should have some joke prepared for purpose of making reading about situaion in the north bearable.


Well, I just made up one, quite lame unfortunately - I need Chuck Norris there, because he can kill two Soviets with one Soviet.

Scavenging continues. Minipocket near Vyazma was broken, and medium-sized one wasn't succesful. If Encircled will beat highlighted stack it will be wasted turn.

T12 south


My opponent sacrefices few divisions to keep me occupied. I am happy to drink from this poisoned chalice.

T13 north


Naughty Fins are infiltrating border diverting decent chunk of Soviet forces. In the meantime I was lucky to find crucial crossing over river Neva weakly defended and although I didn't win, I consider getting fort to level 0 almost as good.

T13 centre


Panzers that were blocking withdrawal of few unlucky Soviet units weren't attacked so I finished what I started last turn. Catch was smaller than I hoped it would be, but I guess it is fate of worse player.

T13 south


Situation in the south is well ... let me put it that way - I surrounded 1 division despite the fact that Encircled arranged his units replicating Nazca Lines.

T14 north



Good news. Encircled decided that Leningrad is lost and I completely support his decision.

T14 centre



Moscow is impregnable. Lacking any other idea I made few head-on attacks - a bit of grinding didn't harm anyone.

At the moment I am capturing ground he will recapture in two months time.

Leningrad pocket was cleared in no time so now I will have to find new task for my boys.
