Yes the borders is really affecting me in this one, I want that Mortalen world! I could wait and see if they take it and then go to war with them, not sure yet, don't think I'm ready to even think about going for his home world.

So, is there no ways to get independent colony on enemy territory without war?[&:]

I assume you can colonize on other empires territory, but you get penalties to relationships and new planets development and happiness. Just my guess.

Looking pretty cool!  Some nice additions that I'm seeing!

Only qualm from me would be I'm disappointed with the difficulty slider... only five difficulty levels (and two above normal) is not that many for a 4x game.  Considering this is one of the big things I am looking forward to, that bums me out a bit [:(]

It's still looking nice, though.  Thanks for the AAR. [8D]

The colonizing button is inactive on the screenshot.
Is it possible choosing colonizer manually?

I guess you can use this setting in addition to the old ways of handicapping your self against the AI?

In versions pre-Legends you can select the colony ship the click on the planet - this would be the manual way. I'm sure you can do this in Legends also but those influence areas might actually prevent colonizing now.
We'll just have to check this when Legends comes out....which is not soon enough, btw [:)]

EDIT: just completed the entire AAR so far, it seems indeed that the plans for Legends are correct with respect to this; we can't colonize in another empire's influence zone. I wonder if this is an option or can be modded.

Btw, great job Haree

Do you have a diplomacy option about that mortalen world?

"Give me colonize access to Mortalu, or, or, or..."

If not, with AI being the stupid old self, you could probably do a quick war, colonize, peace?

Regarding Leader change, the leader will not be easily remove in a dictatorship empire and leaders can be changed frequently in a republic?

Exactly yes.

I'm seeking clarification on some of your other questions.

Right to get stuck back in.

Our invasion is under way.

Here I have copied in my characters stats to show you why I am so confident these Tyrannosaurus jerks are going to be trembling in servitude.

This character is truly exceptional, I have never seen one this strong, I shall have to look after him.

Holy cow, what a general!

Do you see the leaders of the opponents? I would chase his troop transport relentlessly if he was an enemy.

A lot of characters will be just a bit above average and can be developed to a more superior level, but the system can and will generate both some that are not so great and others that are incredible. Definitely keep the latter safe when you get them, they are rare and very, very useful.

Yes, I've thought about this. It still would be much better if there simply were many various levels of "hard" as you can find in other games such as the Civ or GalCiv series.

And that is quite a general!  He must have been toughened up from living on whatever ice world that is he comes from.  Fortunately you have someone like him to make up for your Pacifist ruler [8D]

I will send a ship to investigate this because the other area is swarming with Kaltors, hopefully this will be an easier catch.

I am a fool, this is an unacceptable loss!

Planets with large population put up a large resistance to invasion now, I underestimated these fools to great cost! :(

I wont make the same mistake twice...

I am transferring my ambassador, with hopes that I can coerce these Naxxilian primatives in to helping me bring the Kiadian menace to their knees.

This has softened the blow of a loss of a great Mortalen, these ships are a lot more powerful than what my pathetic scientists have so far come up with.

With the recent breakthrough in the ability to colonise the less hospitable marshy swamp planets I intend to take this planet in the hopes that I can claim these independents within my borders.

No! My plans are failing, I am going to have to think of a new strategy, are we strong enough to take on both of these Empires?

Note: The Naxxilians have taken one of the colonies of Naxxilians, notice how their influence is much stronger than my fresh small population colony.
