Great film what what.

I've been watching the BBC series 'Jerusalem: The Making of a Holy City.’ It is available on BBC iPlayer for UK residents - on TV and on the Web here.

Just finished watching IP Man and IP Man 2.

One of the best martial arts series that I've ever watched.

It couldn't have been better than Kung Fu - could it?

Ip Man was the person who taught Wing tchun I beleive. In my opinion the best martial Art yat. Especially suited to those in the West and actaully helps in self defence when and if someone attacks you in the street. All other Martial Arts are really chreographed. Wing Tchun (They say you punch like a machine gun once you learn it) is amazing to watch and many of the special forces train in it. I went to a Sifu for about 4 months but due to my balance issues had to stop.

I believe Ip Man and Ip Man 2 are films.

Watch some of it on youtube and be amazed at the speed.

I found Kung Fu to be boring when I was younger, I can never even remember a fight in it.

"Bored to Death" and "The Killing" season two (*).

(*) The original "Forbrydelsen", not the stupid remake.

Now watching 'Damages' with Glenn Close--really entertaining.

Interesting. I never knew that Ukraine & Lithuania were allied with Poland in that war.

I just watched Gran Torino. Clint Eastwood is superb in this gem among movies.

Just got through watching Last of the Mohicans, circa 1992. I'm not completely sure which version that it was, as at least three versions appear to have been released. My only criticism of what I just viewed is the last-scene conversion of the character highlighted as "the last of the Mohicans" to an English speaker in the final scene, as he was monolingual (Mohican-only) up to that point!

But that's not the real story...

In keeping with the recent forum-focus on consumer technology, I feel duty-bound to report that I watched the movie via an Internet-stream, courtesy of Netflix/PS3. I may be wrong, but I find it somewhat hard to believe that folks are going to be willing to pay for "premium movie channels," via cable TV, when they can watch all this sort of fare that they can sit still for at only $8 per month. We'll see.

Watching New Orleans beat Atlanta in NFL football and watching Drew Brees break Dan Marino's single-season passing record.

Watching Dexter Season 6 over the holidays - this seasons theme is religion, it's VERY good viewing.
Also Weeds is good, Mrs Grunt watches 30 Rock.
Tonight there's a special on SBS about Haight - Ashbury is the late '60s - I like history so I'll watch it.

Got Senna DVD for Christmas and have watched that now. Wow - that was a trip down memory lane. Cars looked so much better then, but the drivers look horribly exposed compared to now.

Excellent film, not exactly balanced, but then given the subject and title of the film, perhaps that's not unexpected. That did not detract from it's watchability. I Would have liked to have seen more of his battles with Nigel Mansell, but I guess that was not the focus of the film - Prost was the baddy in this production!

The film highlighted Senna's great skill - particularly in the wet - but also his monumental passion, focus and determination to succeed at all costs.

The last weekend - knowing what was to come - was difficult to watch; what a dreadful weekend that was, how the hell Barrichello survived that accident I will never know, Ratzenberger wasn't that lucky, and I forgot how fortunate Pedro Lamy was at the start......

Prince of Eckmühl

Right on Prince of Eckmühl. I cancelled cable three years ago and go with Netflix streaming/3 DVD's at one time for just $23.98...and there is more to watch than cable could hope to offer.
