Enjoying your AAR so far. I really like the presentation and time you spend on it. I feel like I am right in the driver seat with you.

I second all the complements on your AAR. It's a great presentation style and makes following the campaign a lot of fun.

Hong Kong is captured. Always a relief, as now the Japanese 23rd Army can focus on the Chinese units again, which did not try to intervene in the battle for Hong Kong. The 38th division is going to prep for it's next target.

I'm glad people enjoy this AAR. It is a lot of fun to write and especially to read back after a while.

The US Navy launched a counter offensive on Christmas day. And the WITPAE Santa was kind to them [:@]

One thing that I learned from my game with NJP72 ( http://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=2785645 ) is that it is important to take atolls early, as it can be very difficult taking them after fortresses are up to level 6 and Marine regiments are present and fully prepped.

The invasion of Menado did not go according to plan. O well, can't win 'em all...

For some reason my torpedo bombers perform awefully. They fly, break trough the cap and don't launch torpedoes. I hear them fall, but don't see any splashes or hits. Torpedo ordnance is up. Any suggestions?

Same here... fantastic presentation with a sort of magazine like feel similar to the WWII publications Life and Signal.

Waiting for the next installment!!

Thanks. Here is another update on aircraft production. Note that PDU is off and thus I cannot fully commit to a few planes. I will have to build a bit of everything, but will only commit the good planes to the fronts, while everything else will be used as trainers, or less important battlefields. And of course in case of emergency.

Northern Borneo is definitively mine. The oil fields and refineries at Mirri are being repaired and the port of Brunei expanded. Fuel floats to Brunei and from there will be shipped out.

The Houston is very sneaky. It managed to scare the amphibious fleet from the hex where it and the escorting Japanese warships were and than kill off the amphibious fleet without the escorts (which were still in the other hex) interfering. Off course I will take revenge om some other poor bastards tomorrow.

Although my planes are flying with torpedoes (torp ordnance is up), none of the planes hit anything. Since the PofW and Repulse the torpedobombers only sank one or two HDMLs. Everything else they missed. I start to believe this is not simply bad dice rolls. Does anybody have a clue?
