24 MAY. BEF sector. Belgium morale is now under 40 (39). They may capitulate anytime soon.
My spitfires's pilots stopped drinking thea and now are in the sky, hunting down the german bombers ! [:D]

25,26 and 27 MAY. losses : Ger 13 % , Fr 23 % and Br 8 %
I won't describe what is happening every day now. All the front is retreating. (Here is a screenshot of the BEF sector).

A last attempt to counter attack in the first army sector failed.

The belgium gvt and the king have told the allies that they will fight the 26 and 27 and then surrender.

The 26th, the RAF claim to have shut down 40 bombers and one hundred german fighters ! [:D]

The 2A HQ is surrounded by paratroops of the 22nd ! The road to Reims seems to be open for the germans but most of the french cavalry corps is one day from this area. They may counter attack the 28th.

My opponent has until the 15th of June to get to the Somme and take the VPs there. I try to rebuild a french army (I get a new inf div every two turns at least).

Churchill won't let the BEF being annihilated. At 30 % of losses, I may consider to evacuate the BEF.

at this point of the scenario my french troops were usually so low on men and morale the front begun to collapse in several places. the gamelin card may prove usefull in the endgame keeping your troops mobile. i think i would fall back with the british but one would have to take a close look at the vp in the region. when falling back i would sacrifice some units to build road bumps in suitable terrain.

I will do the count of the VPs [;)]. The game has to be played until the 15th of June. Two more weeks...Germany has now 57 VPs.
Keunert, playing the Gamelin card has been essential. I have been abble to withdraw correctly so far. Of course I am losing units (not enough APs to withdraw. They are sacrifice protecting the retreat of others). I have put in key places inf and they have time to dig so they will for sure slow down the advance of the ennemy. (I will sacrifice one div in Lilles too).
The BEF is now out of reach and I still don't know if I should move it entirely to the Somme or let one corp defend Dunkerke and Boulogne...

28,29 and 30 MAY. Three days of retreat. It has been raining the 28th and the 29th.
Losses : Ger 14 %, French 30 % and British 18 %
The british have lost a lot during this retreat. (Losing tanks, arty, some entire rgts surrounded).
I will analyse the losses the next turn, the last day of May.

My DLMs are still in a good shape. They may have to play a decisive role the next week. Right now, the panzers are not exploiting any breakthrough. The wait for the german infantry. If they rush forward, I may be abble to counter attack them. I will have to find the good spots for that (woods or villages to hide my DLMs)

You welcome Alikchi. DLMs are powerful for my taste. I like to hide them in good spots to counter attack eventualy. [:D]
Like here :
First June 1940
The retreat of the french army is almost done. Now I need to hold otherwise my opponent will have his 70 vps quickly [;)]

June 2:
My estimated opponent has now 60 vps. He needs at least 70 to achieve a victory.
Dunkerke, Calais, Boulogne, Lille will fall for sure. Arras in two or three days. That's 7 vps.
Reims is threaten (1 vp)...Soisson and Noyon will be targeted, that's two more [&:]
And he can attempt to take Amiens or Abbeville (the Somme), two more [8|]
And if Reims falls, Compiegne won't last four days...Really fun game !
