As we engage their missile launch vehicles we continue to take disabling hits.

As the column advances towards the city the column is raked by cannon fire from a platoon of Bradley's. 3 of our BTR's explode in flames one after another.

The barrage of hits against our units continues.

And another unit gets hammered by American fire. As we close the range the fire gets more intense.

But finally we manage to knock out an American AFV!!!

In the past hour and half we have managed to knock out ONE American AFV while they knocked out FIFTY ONE of ours. Talk about a kill ratio the Germans would be envious of!!!

I am expecting a phone call from my commander at anytime to report to his HQ for my "reward".

While we get another Bradley.

The Staff Report is not encouraging but it's results are not unexpected.




What is amazing is that we've lost 90 vehicles while the Americans have lost 14.

And yet, we are no closer to being in the town now than we were when we started.

American forces continue to dominate the battlefield. They attain 17 more Soviet vehicle kills before we get the next US vehicle knocked out.

Several of our units were wiped completely out.

We do catch some of the ATGM vehicles and kill one of them.

But we lose another BTR-80 and 3 T-80's right after that. Right before we get another one.

Which we followed up by losing 3 more of our tanks.

The cost of this butcher's bill is getting too high.

I'm not sure how mines got along the river. If they are ours I didn't see them delivered. If they are NATO mines I'm not sure why I can see them.

To add insult to injury the M1's open fire on our T-80's as well.

The furthest my advance went was a melee with Abrams. Infantry IFV's vs M1A1 Abrams. Not a good thing.

With all my losses the battle ended in J2D's favor.

No surprises there.

What did surprise me was looking at the battlefield after it was over is that he still had units he never committed. I never one time pressed his defense.

While at the same time my attack was blown apart.

In any battle that I've seen so far if the WP has BTR's they lose. Simple as that.

I would like to try using some BMP's and see how that goes.

I don't know where the 2 minute delay for the WP came from. I gave my tanks an order to assault and for more than 3 full turns they sat there and never moved. I got tired of waiting and gave the infantry move orders so they didn't just sit still too.

Big mistake. The infantry can NEVER lead an attack if they are in BTR's.

I basically tried to recon where you were coming from, and have units in ambush positions. Looking at your screenies, I was able to stay hidden from you even when I fired a time or two. Maybe the zero ground gave me some advantage. I also noticed that your guys missed a lot.

I only recorded the times that units were killed. I think the other times they fired weren't necessarily misses so much as they were no results. We may well have hit something but didn't kill it.

Either way I lost more than you did and you held the objective. Good Job!
