Amazing to see how Saper manages this advance. Tula and Stalino, almost Voroshilovgrad in a mere 9 weeks. Really lets the old Wehrmacht dudes look like total idiots not to have feasted in Moscow by early September...

Right hook strikes again, I have only seen it stopped once in the post 1.06.11 AAR's. My game vs MT.

Well, you kind of announced it to Michael, to be honest -- you used in every recent game before it, and in that game concentrated everything on that one card without even attempting to cover it up. Having essentially had no other Panzer Army threats to face elsewhere, Michael was allowed to pull together everything useful to stop you in the possibly very best defensive terrain on the whole map...

vs the better SHC players Leningrad and Moscow are not possible. Its how you exploit the system that matters, the old hoophole thing.

Same goes for Sappers advance, you exploit the logistics system.

You find a loophole and drive an army gruop through it.

Kinda been the story of the game from day one.

Sappers exploit will be gone next patch.

Is it skill or just some poeple are better at playing in the grey area of the current rule set?

The airfield fuel exploit will open things up in my coming games,

Pelton -do you seriously intend to use it? It does not seem worthy of your skill, or worthy of anyone for that matter.

Only been stopped once. All depends on who you play and how good they are at playing the loopholes on the SHC side of things.

The best and easiest way to stop the right hook is for the Soviets to fight the Finns in the north. Makes the right hook much harder to succeed with as the distance it has to travel becomes much greater.

This is delusion. The soviet have not forces to defend all fronts. You can see this in my games with M60A3TTS and Speedy.

The airfield fuel exploit will open things up in my coming games, I do not see them fixing it until after witw release. Which means it will be around for atleast another 12 months.
I not used this. I use fist fly level and fly transport (no make units and airbase in one hex) - this is can used all gamer.

Saper222 - the Soviet defense against the Finns in the north does not require any more than the starting Soviets in the area. The Finns cannot move until GT 4 so all you need to do is slow them down another 5 or 6 turns up there and that will prevent the easy hook up for the right hook to work properly. It is too far of a distance for the Finns considering the terrain to make it down to the stop line to meet up with the Panzers. There are other ways for the right hook to succeed, but defending against the Finns and slowing them down takes the easiest ways away.

Slow move forvard. Take Tula and Voroshilovgrad.I finished company against a Soviet industry. 74 Arnament and 90 Heavy to destroy. Soviet remove all tank factory (only 3 unit) and aircraft (1 unit). Now I resupply my forces (bad supply - infantry have 8-9 MP - weather slay my supply!) and start company against Soviet Army.
Air losses - 98/268

If you can reach the Svir with the germans just a bit east of the port you can affect the rail going north as well effectively making any troops left against the finns lose supply source as well.

No need to link up with the finns as Saper already said.
