I think we're missing the real point here.
By shifting Recon over from 'Other' to 'Pilot' I am gonna have to find a whole new way to try and scam some OXP out of the game, because it's so **** tightarsed about it!
Personally, I like 'Stealth' as a name best as well. Yeah, you can get anal retentive about it, but at it's heart, I find the skill is about skulking around in the trees so the bad guys can't find you so easy.
Well actually for me it's "Take the way that has the most trees so I get OXP, W00t!" but umm, yeah.

Relax. There are new ways to get OXPs. Mainly using the defensive skill, which is the best one IMO.

The only other way I had was through medical skill...when you're the unluckiest ToS pilot in the world, you get plenty of oppurtunities to make Med skill checks

This was taken from my personal changes log, based on Larkin's and Marga's:
OXPs awarded for heat reg tuning with defensive skill, shield hits due to defensive skill, defeating active scans with electronic warfare skill.
(heat reg tuning was decreased recently cause it was handing out 150~300 XPs)
Also, don't forget the scanner and damage control skills, for halfway decent jocks they're a great way of "income".

Scanning is good. Until the AI figures out you're getting OXP that way and makes sure that EVERY oppenent titan has an ECM device.
Seriously, is the AI more evil to me than most people, or do I just suck? It seems like they've always chugged a bottle of 'Lister's Luck Virus' before going into battle.

here's an idea (taken from the idea to rename 40t titans "Scout"): rename the Recon skill "Scouting". they're pretty similar in both meaning and function...
stealth would work too, but while many recon functions are stealth, many stealth functions are not recon.

Recon will be called Scouting in the move section of skills.
