turn 6 attacks in south. The south is more fluid then usual thanks to the extra oomph from no Lvow pocket. I try to pick off a Panzer division every turn and rout it.

In the south I gave up the small pocket he created. I did use cav units to flip as many hexes as possible to slow him down. My lines on both sides of the river are mainly level 2 forts. His tempo is way off so I am feeling pretty good about the south in general.

In the center I am a little nervous about this Panzer ball. We will see! He made no real progress in the north.

turn 8 holds in the north - very tough fighting in the north along the bottleneck. Major mistake on his part trying this route. Leningrad will be safe this game.

Turn 8 end battles. Starting to see a trend of more and more holds across the front.

He manages a pocket in the middle I was able to break. This is going to be a running pocket battle for a few turns. The goal will be to keep it alive a few turns to slow him down.

Turn 8 end center - pocket opened and a Panzer division routed. Some of the better divisions made it out. In the process his spearhead was cut off and mauled.

turn 9 end north - once again he follows the path of least resistance angling away from the objective.
