Ditto for me also.....after applying ftp update 4.6.271 "invalid serial number". Help Desk describes procedure for re-installing, etc, etc, but is that really the only way now?

It wasn't as bad as I feared. I did:
COBftB-SetupRelease-DR-v40229.exe
COBattlesfromtheBulge-Update-v44263.exe
+ a beta of my choice which was:
COBattlesfromtheBulge-Update-v46269beta.exe
(seems ok)

I don't find: COBftB DR-v40229.exe or COBattlesFromthe Bulge-Update-v44263.exe on either "Members" page or "HelpDesk" referral pages.
I don't have the original install files on my computer anymore....must I now request additional download permission from Matrix "Help Desk" to get them. When I've previously installed updates, never incurred this problem. I also have HTTR to re-install I guess.

Ok got the download finally.
Do I need to be installing the earlier version first or just go straight to this latest one?

The latest one is a hot fix - ie it only replaces the apps. You need to install the original game and then the beta 4.6.269 build and then install the 4.6.271 Hotfix.

It is still not available on the Members Club area - is the only option the one on the FTP site?

Except that's where I was when I installed the hotfix...
...and why isn't after 4.6.270 ok - both are beta patches of approximately the same size

Sorry mate, I keep every download from every game I've ever bought along with the serials as well.

I've downloaded but am afraid to install after reading all this. I have the 270 beta. Do I understand that I need to go back to 269 beta and then install 271? Dang it. I think this is too complicated for the likes of me. Im waiting until the smoke clears. Really wanted to play this.

Where are you guys getting 269 beta? I don't see it anywhere (I've searched in the forums also) and it's not in member's area. The auto-patch in the game only patches up to a really old version (4.4 something)

Might be on the on the FTP site.... although I'm of the opinion that they should have *all* the betas available until the official patch is released - it's only temporary disk storage and a hyperlink in the Member's Areas after all.

just re-installed, patched to 44263, then 44269 beta, then 44271 beta. Serial error again.

Well, yes I had Orig 40229 game file on external disk.
1) Uninstalled game; 2) reinstalled 40229 OK...game ran; 3) applied 46270beta OK....game ran; 4)applied 46271....but, "No serial number" error again!. So, at this point not sure what to try.
Seen other posts with similar problem but, no indicated solution.
Thanks anyway.
