While the numbers look good for the Chinese here, the fact is Japan will rest and recover disabled squads and continue to bombard my troops. Meanwhile, I don't have the ability to rotate troops in and out. Add in the massive number of artillery and its just a matter of time.

Notes/Plans:
Marquesas Islands - Screenshot included as this island group is often just an after thought for most games. In mine, it will be my main logistical hub for the time being. The TF in the east is the first group of non-PBYs aircraft to arrive in SE corner of map. Right now everybody is coming through Port Stanley via Eastern USA. Plans are to reroute TFs from Los Angeles to Panama and then head for this island group. Distance is a little shorter and hopefully safe.
Naval Search - When it comes to using PBYs and Catalina for naval attacks, I almost never do so. They are too important in gathering intel on Japanese naval movement. Here is how I have them set up or will be soon. I lost one of the two PBY groups from the Philippines when para drop took Port Blair that go to India.
I have the one PBY group at southern tip of Ceylon (Koggala with rebuilt Ceylon BF) and two 6 plane Catalina groups at Diego Garcia. I don't want any raids up the west side of India. [:-]
Now that I've lost any of the normal South Pacifc bases (Noumea, Suva, and/or Pago Pago), I've had to re-adjust to try to prevent undetected raids into the deep South Pacific. PBYs are at or going to Lowe Howe Island, Waipapakauri (NZ), Raoul Island (dot base NE of Aukland that now has small Dutch BF and small NZ engineer with a NZ brigade needing PP before being transported over from Christchurch), Rarotonga, Penrhyn Island, and Eiao (this base at top of Marquesas Islands will also allow B-17Es and LB-30s to fly from Hilo and then over to Australia now that I've lost Line Islands. I'm building up Rapa at southern map edge below Cook Islands.
