Hmmm maybe I should've explained differently, but you need to unzip the whole zip file to the same location but keep the overlays in the "attachments" folder.

So in your case you would have the scen in Command\Scenarios\Beta and there would also be a Command\Scenarios\Beta\attachments folder in which the 6 overlay directories with all the numbers etc go.

That way it should load them correctly.

When it has then loaded them successfully one time, the overlay directories (with the numbers in the name) should also be in the directory Command\AttachmentRepo.

At that point you could delete the attachments directory from the directory Scenarios\Beta if you want (or just leave it there). Make sense?

Try again and let me know if it works :)

Hi Tomcat84

I tried running your scenario and I cant get the overlays to automatically display. I'm sure that I'm probably doing something wrong. Any help would be appreciated.

I installed your files to the following directory: (See Picture)

I start the scenario and the "Event Overlayload has been fired" is displayed but I get no overlays.

I ran your Action Lua commands in the script console (with no errors) but I still dont get overlays.
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('59a702ff-99c8-4503-9265-a05b36f9a58a')
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('9a8d9012-a124-4556-901e-dd1795db8883')
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('ce89156f-46ec-40cb-b36d-7a67f405d55c')
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('3c285092-e733-4f17-8899-43413ab2957d')
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('75520159-4804-49a1-9913-73707e17f26d')
ScenEdit_UseAttachment('c5141e47-c541-464a-9983-e1809d4f278f')

I am able to manually install overlays by using the old method.

Any Ideas? Thanks

Glad to hear that Mini_Von. How do you like it so far?

The best scenario ever! [&o]

With the overlays it is very sexy.

Thank you!!! :)

Some comments:

· the "bad guys" where able to fire their AA-12s from their safe heaven over No-Fly-Areas, whereas my own assets could not fire against planes inside those No-Fly-Areas. Was this intended? Sometimes it felt as fighting with one hand tied to your back [:D]

· making your planes take off in the intended order is a PITA [:-] micromanaging big time [:D]

· Best way to deal with a SA-20 Gargoyle type of AD, which can even shotdown JASSM, HARMs, JDAMs...? what a beast!

· Viper 99's rescue was a very nice sub-scenario!

Great scenario, loved specially the detailed briefing!

One last question: is the real Red Flag something like this?? You earn your pay, guys! [&o]

- you mean that they fire from near their regen fields towards you in the target area? That is intended but you should be able to fire back at them? Can you physically not shoot them or was it how you interpreted my briefing? The only restriction I intended was that you don't start shooting them from the southeast I.e. from around Creech AFB.

- yep. Welcome to the real world :) At least you didn't have to worry about red air taking off in between as well :p

- jamming, malds and low observable long range weapons like jassm and storm shadow probably.

- thank you and thank you :)

- real life? Who knows. Probably more alcohol involved after the debrief ;) it's Vegas!

Hi Tomcat84

I can´t get your latest updated scen´s to work, and I really want to. I loved the previous versions.

Both Red Flag and Frisian Flag downloads and unpacks correctly. But when I start them, Command only load´s approximately 50% (according to the progress bar), and then starts an empty scenario. No sides, no units, no nothing.

Any ideas as to what I´m doing wrong???

I´m running Command V.1.07RC5 B677, and everything else is working.

Hmmm not sure.

Are other scenarios with the latest DB running correctly ?
I'm assuming a reboot / restarting the game has been tried?
What happens if you delete the overlays from your attachment repository (are they even in there) and also move the attachments folder away before loading the scen again ?

Does all that make sense?

Hi,

I had the same problem when I tried to install them. I suspect that windows is having a problem creating a newly needed folder. Try making a folder called "AttachmentRepo" in the games main directory. C:\Matrix Games\Command Modern Air Naval Operations\AttachmentRepo

This folder is supposed to be created when you run the scenario with attachments for the first time. If it still doesn't work then place the attachments directly into the "AttachmentRepo" folder and then run the scenario.

Good Luck

Rob

Hi Mini_von

Thanks a lot. That did the trick.
Everything is working now.

Adding the "AttachmentRepo" folder worked for me as well when I had same issue (scan with attachments not loading). Seems some of us had this issue. Has anyone posted this under tech support yet?

This worked for me as well. Has anyone posted about this in the tech support forum to alert the devs?

No, I couldn't physically shoot back at them: each time I tried Ctrl+F1 for a manual, or F1 for automatic attack against a hostile inside those No-Fly Areas, Command would ignore me, even though my fighters were well inside weapon release parameters.

Afterwards I concluded that Command understood (correctly) that, if fired, my missiles would be flying inside a No-fly zone and therefore chose to ignore me ([:@]) and not fire back (i.e., I do not think it could be a bug but a proper feature working properly). Nevertheless it was very interesting because it was a clear indication that Blue and Red forces operate under different ROE and restrictions, and that one cannot expect the bad guy to fight chivalrously like oneself [8|][:D][:D]
