How will you know you've reached 10? Is that 10 attempts to post and failed?

It says I have 11 posts. Now I have to wait a week before I can post - or not if I loose interest.

We are sorry for the inconvenience, but this is a very effective and indispensable anti-spam rule.

I've spent several hundred dollars on Matrix games over the years, been registered on this forum since before 2009, but have only posted a few times over the years.

So I just purchased Flashpoint Campaigns and I have a question I would like to post on the forum about a gameplay mechanic.

BUT I CAN"T MAKE A POST! I CAN"T EVEN REPLY TO AN EXISTING POST!
I get a message that says my post can't contain phone numbers, emails or URL's...
My post doesn't contain any of those.

So I'm stuck making a bunch of posts on what appears to be a Mickey Mouse forum system that can't determine the difference between a paying customer and spam.
I think I also have to wait 7 days once i've made my 10 bs posts before I can make a legitimate post????
That pisses me off. I would like to enjoy the game i purchased from you, but now I need to wait 7 days to get my questions answered.
Great customer service there....

Have you tried to contact our tech support?
Anyway I have added your username to the list of trusted usernames. You should be able to post now.

Thank you
I did not reach out to tech support as the nature of my questions are related to game mechanics and not technical problems.

well ask away, if it's hard to post in the open, pm a mod with your question, if game related, just pick a mod in that game in question / section

If you can post in this forum then you should be able to post in any forum you have access to. Some forums are private for development or betas but public forums all work the same way. If you are able to post your text here then it will work anywhere. If not then let us know the exact text you are trying to post by posting it here and the name of the forum/sun forum you were unable to post to.
If you need tech support you can always just email
support@matrixgames.com.

This is a load of bollocks. I'm trying to fix a problem for my copy of Distant Worlds (Steam version works but the Matrix doesn't [&:]) and I get turned back every time. It's incredibly frustrating to purchase a game and then have an issue and wait for this stupid thing to end. And if it's in place because of ONE person some time ago, it's pretty ridiculous. This policy really needs to be dropped.
Agreed. Especially as most game manuals direct the
PAYING CUSTOMER to seek game support on these forums. And now you encourage them to make spam replies to get up to the post count?
Why not just have <10 post users do a captcha before each post? I've never experienced such an absurd policy as this on any other game support forum. Shamefully inept.
