My take so far...

3 turns in.

NJP is taking a much more measured approach than last time. The objectives appear to be the same however his retreat path with the KB is not. It moved northwest and now southeast putting it 8 hexes west of Pearl Harbor.

Those of you that choose to read both AAR's are going to know his intentions.

He has recon up at Tay tay and will have it up at Jolo by next turn. The micro KB is moving west toward Morotai and there are several STF's heading towards the Moluccas and Ceram as typical.

His progression around Malaya and Borneo are tepid. I am not sure if that is for fear of the POW or other design.

We will see soon enough!

Why keep the KB for several days within sight of PH if not in preparation for an invasion of Midway and/or Johnston?

Last game my remaining warships engaged the KB and caused damage.

It is either to cover those invasions or to hopefully catch some of my STF's out in the open.

I am not using the same tactics as last game so that really didnt work with the exception of a sub hunting destroyer.

In addition to SCTFs, an impatient Allied player might spew out of PH support ships like AVDs/AVPs to set up Cat recon bases in SOPAC, or try to bring Enterprise and Lexington back to PH via a direct or northerly route. KB is well positioned to go after those moves. I bet he is ticked that the ASW DD drew a strike and spoiled his doubling-back surprise.

I am avoiding the KB like it has VD...

Lexington went west to pick up the detatchemnt on Wake and will proceed south. Enterprise is ahead of her. Need to find a berth for a year or two. I dont like trying to take on the KB with pieces of a carrier fleet.

In stock, Legaspi is an xAKL. This game shows it as an xAP. In the changeover the art reference # may have been borked.

That screen shot of the supposed attack on AP Legaspi seems bizarre! The pic is a US BB...I think. Do you have a bug in the works somewhere??....maybe ask a techie.

If you check the thread it has been seen by other players. The Legaspi is coded wrong for the ship. I have seen it before. I think there are a few more small craft with weird profiles or no profiles.

Funny to see though :]

DECEMBER 10, 1944...

A few small ships die. NJP creeps closer to Malaya with ships.

DANGER WILL ROBINSON!!! DANGER !!! DANGER!!!

The Enterprise and Lexington have been moving south southeast trying to avoid the KB.

Well, this turn both of the TF's get spotted and the KB has disappeared into the mists...

I figured it was something like that! My posts seem to go up immediately but I am on an extra-high speed ISP plan.

Note to self...

May have to drop the whole *disguise your AP like a battleship* program. The Japanese are not falling for it....

You may not have all of the pertinent artwork for some of those new ship types.

This happened with me when I first started my BTS scenario.

I had failed to download all of the new artwork associated with the scenario.

I went back and got all the artwork I had missed and now rarely encounter a ship with no artwork.

Although I do still have the battleship Legaspi.
