Lots of blasting

I can only hope it will be effective.
Super nervous about the results.

Some good numbers, but we will see what Pelton does to my sea zone.

Pretty dicey on land, I don't really know where his Kampfgruppe is going to roll in on me.

Impressive numbers! [&o]

Did you move anything from Northern Europe down to the Med to get those numbers?

Yes.

There is a lot of extra crap in England that doesn't do you any good if your invasion is stuffed in Italy.
Every single typhoon, tac bomber, all the two engine bombers. Recently lots of hIIc and Halifax for naval patrol.
Last turn every b24 that can fly.
Bad weather in the north so might as well get some use out of it.
Plus I don't think you can afford to try to get cutesy with when facing a player like Pelton. He is way too good to take chances.

Italy surrenders finally as the Allies storm ashore.

Lost one beach to panzer attack, not the end of the world. Another beach holds out against two attacks. My paratroopers are worthless but maybe they get something done next turn

I catch elements of Kampfgruppe Pelton in the open.

Smashing phase ensued . . . .

Its probably the last attack I will be able to make before Pelton isolates my army. [:(]

Ouch. [:(] Well, if your landing doesn´t work with that amount of preparation no landing will work. [X(]

Keep the beaches open and you should be okay. Just keep naval interdiction at 9 so you get supplies, and don't try and expand the beach heads till supply is good. He may gain naval parity for a few turns, but the axis can't maintain it. If you fall below 3 beaches, then your in trouble. Just hang tough and make sure you have coastal, 15th, and tac air doing naval over and around your beaches. Put up some air superiority too.

End of my turn. Italian surrender gets me across the strait of messina.
Unfortunately I lose a bunch of paratroopers to a misdrop into the sea. Ooops.
Did some blasting on the panzers that I could get to, whacked some unoccupied forts.
Now just waiting for the other jackboot to drop.

Am I still advising from Corsica? If I am, then I'd advise to stuff that invasion full of divisions, as soon as possible. If your recon is anywhere in the ball park, he looks weak, but don't attack in this weather if you don't have to, and let that supply build up before you try to break out(I use the "n" key and when my blue bar peaks above the black bar then your have excess supplies to attack with). Your there to stay, just keep that naval air going. Put those units not on the line into reserve so he doesn't rout all those para brigades and close in on your beaches.

If I'm not still advising, then disregard the above, and be content to know that there are still no paratroopers in or near Corsica!

Nice work. Perhaps your landing will stick! [:)]

Have you managed to keep naval interdiction up? Oh, and why are you breaking your units down to regiments? Wouldn´t that make them more vulnerable to counterattack?

The para brigades were all spread out.

The other brigades in the landing zone are the ranger and commandos that pop out from the amphib hqs when they invade.

Ah, I´ve seen Pelton break down divisions so I thought this was a common strategy (that I don´t understand) when I saw your screen. [:)]

Pelton has the beach head cut off in the heavy rain.

Weather changes on WA turn, so it could be different type of weather during Axis air execution.
