I do not believe either of the Tin Soldiers titles work, nor Napoleon in Italy. Any suggestions how these might be made to work, if indeed they can?

What Napoleonic Games will run in Windows 10?

Because "Empires in Arms" is NOT on the list does this mean it will NOT run?

I have a credit with Matrix because I purchased "Napoleon in Italy" and it will not run either. BUT, I want to get a Napoleonic Title THAT WILL RUN.

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,

xlegion

no, if not on the list it can just mean as yet it's not been fully tested or tried / confirmed either way

as any game confirmed not working on windows 10 will be listed here also

Incompatible games: etc

Greetings to All,
I installed Horse & Musket Volume 1 and Star Sentinel Tactics, along with updates, and they both run using Win 10. Compatibility troubleshooter in properties used Vista compatibility settings and they run fine.

For Battles in Normandy , I had to use the Windows XP SP2 compatibilty mode , the SP3 didn't work for me. Hope we could run it well on W10.

I have just checked and it's like in War in the Pacific, you'll notice some lag.
There are two workarounds:

1. Use -w switch to run in windowed mode (1024x768)

2. Use -deepColor switch to run in stretched full screen (1024x768)

I'm guessing this will work for War Plan Orange also? I'm guessing this is old WITP. AE runs just fine for me, but WPO is very laggy.

make sure all game pre requisite are installed with the game, even if you think or fully know there are already installed, it will only over write, and it may be that you have a older or newer version of these where as the game in question may need a certain version.

then most older game will or should work on most hardware and O/S[&o]

The same for War in the Pacific.

Operation Barbarossa: The Struggle for Russia needs adding to the Incompatible games list for windows 10, in it's present state, there maybe a patch update coming as it's been mentioned, but can be altered at a later date then

And what about SSG's Kharkov: Disaster on the Donets + Across the Dnepr: Second Edition? Will they run on Win10? Can you confirm?

I've installed SSG's Kharkov on my Windows 10 partition and the game is running.
Please notice that the game works on a fixed resolution of 1024x768.

So... can it be run in a smaller window? You know... my monitor is larger than 1024x768...

Unfortunately the game doesn't have a windowed mode.
However, usually, you can set (scale) your graphic card and monitor to play at 1024x768.
I'm playing 1024x768 in a 1920x1080 monitor. So it's not too bad. I personally even prefer the scale mode to windowed mode in these situations.

Example of Nvidia and ATI scale options:

OK, Thanks. So I guess it might be added at the beggining of this thread under "Games compatible but need tweaking."

Works fine for me, no compatibility settings or anything.
