Battlerbritain, is feels like we released in the middle of a Windows OS update, AV update, Steam updates that all conspired to mess up install and play. add that to a couple PBEM++ data transfer issues and it's been a busy week.

FYI, I tested clicking from the .exe and still got the needs drive bug. Interesting thing, if it matters, it doesn't matter whether I click on cancel, try again, or continue, or any combination. I click on something four times and the game starts on the 4th click. Always four. I have not played a complete game but have run a couple of test turns, and the game appears to run fine after it starts.

That 4 click may be an old windows bail out for looking at the drive. Something when we start the game is grabbing or getting grabbed erroneously and throwing up the bug. The good news is we may have a working fix and it's being tested.

I know you are taking each issue one at a time. Just was wondering if you tackled why the DVD Germany Reforged won't work? Thanks for all the help

Floyd, as noted above, we do believe we have a fix for the odd drive request bug. We will be test the latest hot fix update over the weekend and hope to ship it out to Matrix early Monday morning if all goes well.

I installed the update. Same issues. I rebooted after each update, no improvement. I noticed when I ran Flashpoint Campaign Red Storm after updates 2.0.10 and 2.0.10b, the game thanks me for installing Germany Reforged. Does the screen where you select to play campaign or scenario show 2.0.10, even after update 2.0.10b? Tanks

I have download 2.0.10b and installed. Same issues. I delected the entire game and checked for programs and files that had Flashpoint in their name and deleted all of them. I am able to reload Flashpoint Campaigns Red Storm, updates 2.09;2.0.10 and the games runs fine. I shut down my antivirus and load Germany Reforged, got the error that I reported. Loaded 2.0.10b with anti-virus off. ran the game and got the same error and when I got the game to run after clicking 4 times on error and got to the screen asking if you wanted to play a scenario or campaign it shows 2.0.10. No ideas where to go from here??

Floyd, we need to find out where the hot fix exe went. The hot fix went out late yesterday and we noticed the error last night. We will verify the installer and go from there on our end.

JW and Floyd, download this exe and see if 1) it shows as 2.0.10b and 2) runs for you guys. We are still looking at some weird installer behavior and need to chat with Matrix/Slitherine folks on it, but the holiday is going to disrupt that effort for a few days. Here's the link:

It shows as 2.10b, it runs, but it has the same startup behavior. Not fixed. I tried it from the startup screen and directly from the .exe in the game folder.

I download the exe you sent and clicked run. 1st message I got was:FPRS'exe No Disk There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive\Device\Harddisk1\DR1. Click on it 4 times and the it stopped. Closed the exe file and there is this message on the desktop: Fprs ,then on next line there is an X with a red circle followed by Invalid file name - %S. Clicked ok and I get this message Fprs, next line there is an X with a red circle around it and the following Access violation at address ooE9A376 on Module 'FPRS.exe.' Read address 000000D8. Only way to get rid of last message is by restarting computer. Hope this information helps. Again thanks

With respect, you were supposed to put the .exe in the game folder. I think from your description you didn't put it in the game folder.

Just to summarize where we are, you both have the latest 2.0.10b. You both are seeing the same bad start up with a "please put disk in drive X?" startup. After that you can do the 4 clicks to dump the error but the game does not start after that.
We thought we had that issue isolated in this update. I'll get with Rob and see if we can address that specific item and roll out a test exe for you guys to check in the next day or so. Really sorry for all of this hassle with the install. Hopefully we can find that issue and resolve. Thanks again for your info and patience. We appreciate you guys hanging in there with us. [&o]

My game does start after the four clicks and appears to run fine. I think his does, too.

I place the download in the flashpoint Campaign Red Storm game folder. If there is another folder that the download needs to be placed in, please let me know. If I don't try and start the game from the download, I get the same errors. Ran the game get the error about no disk, but after you click 4 times, the game runs but it shows 2.0.10. Should I delete the game and reload the game, update and try the download for Germany Reforged? I not real computer knowledge, so any help would be appricated.
