I've been playing .08 solo. I do not understand where the German's get so much gas T-3 - T-6. Is there a trick other than airlift to moving fuel forward?
My sense is .08 is getting close on logistics and then I see an AAR like this.

Its almost blizzard the Soviets are still very in this game. He lost alot of ground in the north but from Moscow south the Germans are going to find themselves overextended esp against over 5M soviets in the blizzard.

We just started the blizzard and Pita is retreating, I think he def overextended in the south and center. I hold Voronezh, Rostov, Moscow. I'm attacking all along the line, with concentrations at the key points of his panzers.

I'm a bit surprised he didn't pull his pz's off the line before the bliz started.

I pulled all my guards off the line, and reorganized them into 3 shock armies. First blizzard turn I converted all cavalry divisions to cav corps and attached sapper rgts to all.

Each shock army also only has Guards support units, painstakenly pulled out of individual armies.

It is well worth it. He is having to retreat (T27 now in real time) on the flanks of Moscow as my forces were all there. His panzers are locked in the center of Moscow, he'll either have to pull them away and give up the Moscow effort or he will not have panzer strength in summer of '42.

Same story in the south, just with Rostov. In fact, with Rostov, the flank is held by the Axis minors, which will easily collapse if he doesn't pull out of the pocket

I'm curious to see how this works out for you. I would be worried that these shock armies are a tempting target for a German envelopment. Perhaps you can use that to your advantage and set a trap, or at least make him spread out his forces by strategic placement of a large blobs of red on the map.

Concentration of force is necessary to raise CV.

We have made it to 1942! Insta-victory is no longer a possibility as I hold Moscow, Rostov and Voronezh! TO THE BITTER END COMRADES! NOT ONE STEP BACK!

Also, the first turn of 42 (turn 29) brings a LOT of guards.

50 guard infantry divisions on Jan 1 1942. About 15% to 20% of the Red Army if you include cav and support units.

Been a mostly static blizzard, his panzers aren't going anywhere and I can't dislodge them. It's been attacks back and forth with little movement of the line.

We have upgraded to 1.08.09. Also, I haven't put up new pictures yet as the line hasn't really moved too much. Don't want to give away too much info yet, but the blizzard was mostly static. It's still Jan '42.

Looking at the VPs, is that bugged? It seems like it isn't adding up the city VPs right

Turn 33-34, we are still locked in stalemate along the line. Pitaman refuses to move his panzers and even attacks with them during the blizzard. As such, I have mustered my high CV units to hold his tanks. Any hex I take he quickly hits back. This winter I've only been able to move forward on the south eastern flank of Moscow.

Once the blizzard passes, it's going to get nasty.

However I got my first Guards Army.
