12 December 1938
German troops and Spanish troops under German command have linked. Metropolitan France is now split into three parts ...
Gallia est omnis divisa in partes tres
The French are showing signs of battle fatigue.

Japanese troops have taken Rangoon and have landed troops on many of the islands of Micro-Indonesia. Mandalay will fall soon to Chinese Troops as it is cut off from supply and reinforcement. Japanese troops will soon enter India in effort to drive out the white imperialist powers of Europe. We call upon the Indian people to rise up, join us in driving out the British oppressors.

In a desperate gamble, the French Army sends an Armoured division to take Antwerp. Paris is expected to fall soon. British patrol aircraft, heavily escorted by Hurricanes fom Amsterdam, inflict some losses to German submarines in their santuary. Marseille holds, but the French mediteranean fleet is now under British command.

The Hurricanes in Amsterdam were punished by the Luftwaffe. The British Empire is under attack in multiple areas, and the Luftwaffe is strong enough to begin a challenge for air superiority.
Paris was subjected to artillery bombardment, while German troops from the south carved out areas west of Paris. In the long run perhaps the French and British troops would be better employed off the continent. Japan and China have begun an active campaign against European colonies in the Far East.
The Soviet Union has been quietly gaining allies as Turkey and Mongolia have joined the Communists. Germany did joint training with the USSR earlier in the decade and is aware of the strength of Soviet arms.
The USA is very actively seeking to gain the freedom to engage in world politics. The overturn of isolationism is not far away, which will bring this significant player on the scene.

The RAF High Command is puzzled by the appearance of a new German fighter that decimated our Hurricanes over Amsterdam, our intel identifies it as a new version of the Bf-109, a fighter that was regarded as inferior to ours. We are speeding up the production of the new Spitifire, while the Hurricane will be relegated to ground attack missions ASAP. We were able to keep Both Amsterdam and Antwerp in Allied hands, and also to sink a few submarines.
In the Far East, Mandalay fell, but the Asian agressors will have a big surprise soon.
The French High Command ordered Paris to be abandoned.

3rd April 1939
The French and British occupied the coast of France and the Low Countries from Brest to Amsterdam. Paris was still occupied and fierce battles erupted across the front as German troops pushed the defenders back on Le Havre, Brest, and Amsterdam. On the other side of France Marseilles was strongly held along with territory along the Franco-Italian border. Very light air activity and no naval activity this month.
The Panzer forces are taking a chance to reorganize before the assaults to push the Franco-British forces out of metropolitan France.
The Kriegsmarine is strong enough to cause serious disruption to the British with their long supply lines to the Far East. At this point the KM is not engaging in this campaign.

The situation in France has simplified. France and Great Britain now hold Brest, Amsterdam, and Marseilles. They are strongly held, by an excellent defender, and it will be a while yet before they clear out to face other enemies, elsewhere.
The Luftwaffe are pleased with the performance of the Bf-109E. The Panzer troops are not as pleased with the PzIV with their short 75mm guns.

Chinese and Japanese troops have moved into India in an attempt to drive the British oppressors out of that country. Meanwhile the Japanese 4th Army continues the drive to free the Indochina area of the British oppressors. Some small British carriers made an appearance in the Indian Ocean but we did not engage them as we had more important things to do (like looking for large carriers). Shanghai Command (Army Group) has been renamed Homeland Command and moved to Japan proper as Japan readies it (Shanghai) to be turned over to China--The Shanghai people are welcoming their upcoming return to China with great going away parties. The commander of the 4th Army received some traditional Chinese gifts when his command was moved from Shanghai to SE Asia. Many Japanese officers and civilians who committed war crimes in China have been removed from command and some have been turned over to the Chinese for trial.

26 June 1939
The German armed forces continue to push at the French and British remaining on the continent. We want them gone, and are sure they are needed elsewhere, but we understand the reluctance to abandon France and Holland.
The constant battling has honed German proficiency, and we hope to reduce the Allied positions even if we have to do one at a time.

Germany has pushed closer to Marseilles, but the Allies hold all three of their continental enclaves at turn's end.
Germany has begun to move east in the North African desert.

Celebration is the word of the day in Shanghai as it is formally returned to China.
Meanwhile in India Japanese forces are given control of Calcutta and push the British oppressors further away from the city. Japanese artillery arrived and moved into location on New Guinea. Two Japanese divisions from the 4th Army take up positions to drive the British off the island. Java Island is free of the British oppressors.
A small naval battle takes place off New Guinea with the British forces losing a cruiser and Japan losing way too many submarines. This revealed a weakness in the Japanese submarines which will researched. The 1st Carrier Group continues to search for large British carriers but they either are being very elusive or they are not in the area.
Homeland Command has been downgraded from an Army Group to an Army. It's command is reduced to the Japanese islands alone. SE Asia Command (Army Group) has been given command of the Indian Subcontinent and Asia mainland south of China. A new command will be built to command the Pacific Islands north of Australia. As long as the USA remains neutral we will not interfere with their interests in the Pacific Ocean.

The Germans launched a major attack on Brest this month, and we think we came close, but Brest still is in Allied hands. The defense of these small chunks of the continent is done very, very well.
Italy and the Soviet Union have adjusted the borders in Romania.

New Borneo is now in Japanese hands. There was a small naval engagement in the Indian Sea.
China and Japan have signed a treaty where Japan has agreed to return all of mainland China back to Chinese control. The first step in that plan was the return of Shanghai in return for China turning over Calcutta and Dacha. We have already turned over control of much of Manchuko to China.

One of the tripod of Allied positions has fallen. It took every thing we had, and was a very, very close run thing. Here is the final assault by three infantry divisions held in reserve, and a scratch Panzer brigade. In this final battle Brest fell in round nine.

Japanese naval aircraft struck at Colombo and sank several ships losing a few planes. Meanwhile Chinese forces approach Delphi and some other cities on the Indian subcontinent. More units of the 4th Army moved onto New Borneo (the island just north of Australia). Soon aircraft will follow. Since we plan on returning Manchuko to China we exchanged resource centers this month. We intend to keep Korea and have set up a border with units from the 2nd and 5th Armies. The 3rd Army will be relocated from China to Japan when we give back Peking and it's port city (forgot how to spell it).

Another of the Allied held cities on the European continent has fallen. Marseilles has been taken and only Amsterdam remains in Allied hands. The forces in Amsterdam sortied out and hurt the Germans, but it should be clear their days in Amsterdam are numbered. U-boat flotillas have moved down the Channel and are poised to breakout from Brest.
The Luftwaffe struck at Southampton and showed the superiority needed to punish the RAF. Soon they will have an even better Messerschmitt.
In North Africa the French were forced out of Tunis.

China captured Delphi and turned it over to Japan. In China, Japan returned Peking to China. The Chinese Command (Army Group) has be disbanded. Manchuko Command has been turned over to China but the two cities in Manchuko remain under Japanese jurisdiction for now. Japanese units with Chinese personnel have been turned over to the Chinese. The Japanese have formed the 1st Indian Army which will be been responsible for India.
In the Pacific front Japanese troops captured undefended Port Rebaul (spelling).
