Germany proceeded with the construction of a Carrier (Graf Zepplin), while Italy has decided to sell military aircraft to Sweden. The MPP will rather be redirected to ground forces.

Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact

Germany has agreed to deliver the Light Cruiser Lutzow to USSR. Given that the USSR is only 7% Allied leaning as of this date, non-delivery would essentially double USSR leaning to 13-15% (and doubling her income at the same time).

Allied Turn

The Winter War has ended after Finland signed the Moscow Treaty, ceding territory to the USSR in the process. The UK has been actively in diplomacy edging Turkey closer to the Allies.

War Comes To The West

Good weather across mainland Europe and bad weather across the English Channel creates a perfect scenario for our invasion of the Low Countries. Germany also orders the invasion of Denmark and Norway.

Blitzkrieg In The West

With the bad weather over Britain Axis bombers and paratroopers are able to fly rampant over the Low Countries capturing all three capitals. The 4th Panzer Tanks do take substantial loses in the battle for Brussels, otherwise a very clean invasion.

Invasion of France

The German Army has crossed the border into France, sustaining minimal casualties in the process. The French defense is on the verge of buckling against the pure might of Germany.

Vengeance

The South Hampton Light Cruiser, the only ship identified on the attack against the Deutschland Heavy Cruiser is sunk in the Atlantic. En route away from victory German U-boats are ambushed by French Destroyers. Near Newfoundland, Canadian destroyers ambush another Wolfpack of U-boats.

Odds and Ends

Romania invested in Infantry Weapons, while Germany purchased a Medium Bomber. At turns end Italy declares war on the Allies. I had actually preferred Italy had waited at least another turn. Good ol' unpredictable Italy.

Invasion of Norway

Germany Invades Norway to the disdain of USA, and occupies Denmark.

Allied Turn

Reinforcements are rushed to Egypt to face the Italian Army massed at Tobruk. As mentioned in my first post, the British/Commonwealth Forces (AI only) in Egypt are given an unhistorical boost in North Africa to try to simulate pushing the Italian Army back in Libya.

Italian Offensive Into Egypt

Given that Italy has not yet reaped the benefits of either Infantry Weapons or Infantry Warfare technology, and that a British Army has decided to garrison Sidi Barrani I have declined the event to support the offensive into Egypt. I intend to add some more information to the notes which may better explain the historical context of this event. SC2 did not have notes, and it has been additional work to go back and find the explanations to the many of the events, so in this aspect some decisions remain a work in progress to explain the reasoning. For now the Italians will simply dig in.

March Towards Paris

German has broken through the French defenses en route to Paris and the Maginot Line is completely cut off after German Paratroopers captured the rail lines at Auxerre, South-East of the Capital. In the South only a small Italian force crosses the border, just enough troops to keep the French garrisons on their toes.

Battle on the Atlantic

A British Light Cruiser was sunk in the Atlantic, while the Gneisenau Battle Cruiser is heavily damaged after two naval encounters in the same turn. German raiders have steadily been raiding the convoy lanes but are yet to make a material impact on overall tonnage.

Odds and Ends

Winston Churchill is now the Prime Minister of the UK. German has amended the Norwegian Convoy routes. The UK Garrison Iceland.

Exports To Italy

I have decided to allow German to help Italy with her low MPP production. Again better notes to follow in a future update.

Will probably rename Coal Exports to just Exports. Not sure why I chose a single resource as a designation now that I think about it.

Gates of Paris

The battle for Paris is about to begin, as German forces batter the surrounding defensive positions. I have been very selective with my attacks on fortified units outside of my direct advance on the capital which leaves a lot of French units which could try to return to defend the Capital.

Capture Of Paris

Under heavy bombardment Paris has fallen and German forces march through the Capital. German ground forces that did not participate in the battle attacked the defenders along the coast to try to bring down French morale as I hope for French surrender. Although I usually find France will not surrender until the next turn, we will see.

North Africa

The Italians continue to just hold the line for the foreseeable future until they can improve their infantry's capabilities (waiting on research). The Italians also invested in Naval Weaponry this turn.
