Have I mentioned this before: Here's an amphibious TF that can't load a specific armor unit because it's
supposedly not in combat mode but if I ask for a display of the LCU's at CRB the armor unit is listed as
indeed in combat mode. One of them has a problem.

Now I've run into a Thai Junk that doesn't have a captain and there's no way to give him one.

Larry,
Like I mentioned to Brian with this mornings turn. I wish you two had settled on the new BTS or BTS Lite that are almost ready to come out. RHS is such a different beast, I don't know how much feedback you will gets from the forumites here.
Just my $.02 [:)]

I don't know what RHS stands for and I've only heard about BTS and I don't know
what that stands for either. I'm beginning to wonder if RHS is a good idea or
not. I'm seeing Chinese Junks for transports. 754 tons capacity. That's a
thimble full at a time. Is RHS II really new? I'm finding all kinds of little
bugs in the scenario. Somebody has to play this thing to find all the things
that need attention.
And about the feedback: I really appreciate it when people post in this thing
because it's confirmation that somebody is actually reading this thing and I'm
not just going through the motions of posting stuff for no good reason. Also,
Brian, I get the impression, likes RHS. So we'll play it. Brian is the kind
of opponent that will give you tips and suggestions and really knows his stuff.
I like the way he plays and I'm learning a lot.

I believe that RHS ( from WitP ) is Real Historical Scenario ( or maybe Realistic Historical Scenario ).
IIRC, el cid started with CHS and created the RHS series of scenarios in WitP.

I just now got an email from Brian saying he's ready to receive my
moves file now. I was going to put off until T2 the processing
of the LCU's in China and the building of logistical TF's. But I've
already gone through thousands of mouse clicks to get this far. I
think maybe Brian has waited long enough. I sent my first turn
moves to Brian at 12:35 my time today. So he probably received it
about 13:00 or so on Wednesday. Let's see how long it takes for
his reply.
EDIT: "I believe that RHS ( from WitP ) is Real Historical Scenario
( or maybe Realistic Historical Scenario )."
Thanks for that.

Here's another ship that has no commander and when I click on the label to give it one
there are none to choose from. D'oh.

What RHS did is neat, but is not ready for prime time yet. You have a lot of work in the editor to straighten things out....plus I am unsure about the viability of the Japanese economy long term. It seems out of whack to me....balancing the industry is where most mods fail miserably.
PS: On a recon mission you don't need to set percentages, the squadron will send 4 planes if it has them.

I'm finding all kinds of little things that need adjustment and hey, somebody has to go through it
with a fine-toothed comb. Brian neglected to mention that it's still in beta-mode and needs some
TLC. Such is the life of the playtester.
What is it about the economy that makes you have heart burn?

I had no idea. Thanks. I was wondering about that.

I've got some ice-bound ships, three of 'em. One's a tanker. D'oh. And they are probably
going to be bound for quite some time yet. I went ahead and made TF's for them just to
get them off the list of singleton ships as I'm building TF's still.

I am reading this AAR as well as some others though I rarely post as you can see from my post count.
Even though you encounter a lot of mod specific problems it also gives a good view of what this mod is like so thx for that.
RHS as such is pretty old but was being adapted and developed continuously, anyway I thin k it was first mentioned in this post:
tm.asp?m=1024232&mpage=1&key=󺃨
El Cid also gives the name in post 13 of that thread. 2006 , doesnt time fly eey.
While looking for this I rediscovered CHS at
http://www.bur.st/~akbrown/witp/CHS_download.html
Btw larry you mentioned this:
"I had a PB at Bangkok that has some minor damage so I put it in the shipyard to heal the wound and then wondered
what else is in the shipyard and found to my amazement that there's a lot of broken ships that start the game
broke. Mostly in Thailand and mostly just three ports and only for about three weeks or so. I don't remember
ANY ship in a stock game starting the game broken."
My guess is that most of these ships are being upgraded, the number of days needed are a bit high for standard repairs
but you can check this in the Repair Ships management section, you should be able to see if its upgrades or delayed repairs.
Again thx for the info,
Nick [&o]

just having fun posting stuff. Call it my novella.

I managed to find the button Manage ships under repair for Bangkok and here's what I found. I'm guessing that
these are upgrading ships, like you said. I can't imagine what would have broken them otherwise.

I'm using the city display to tell me where to go for my RES needs. I'm going to do the same
thing for oil. I realize that as I draw from those ports that the priority will change and
I'll need to monitor the situation from turn to turn.

There aren't a lot of good places to go for oil but these three bases/ports will serve nicely for a while. I'm
aware that Miri and Tarakan and Balikpapan and Palembang are necessary and should be high priority targets because
I'm going to run really low on fuel after this initial blast of action, moving troops to invasion sites and so
on. A lot of the AK's are in transit to the places they need to go to get the goodies. I'm not going to see any
deliveries of goodies in the home islands for a couple of days yet. I've already set up some TF's to take fuel
and supplies to Babeldoab and Truk and the Pescadores because it's been my experience that they run low after
about three days.

The ship you highlighted is in standard repairs so I guessed wrong.
It says "Repair estimates (days): Readiness 8, Pierside 6, (----), Shipyard 7 "
If its upgrading the tekst would read:" Repair estimates (days): Refitting (number)" This was added a few years ago so is in the last patch.
If the other ships are the same they are not upgrading/refitting.
Sorry for that,
Nick

Yeah, I checked several of them and they are all repairing. I'm at a loss to explain
why they have damage. And the US player is getting VP points for them being broke too.
D'oh.

Here's a Regimental Combat Team at Samah that needs to be filled in with it's people and equipment yet. It's
got 14 trucks and 186 people so far and an AV of zero. I'm thinking of moving it into the hex with it's HQ.
