I´m mostly busy with non-building stuff, although i finished a complete set of ruined row houses and also some nice little castle.
here it is:
I should be able to put something together for several of those suggestions. I'll try to get them built and loaded by this weekend.

I'll see what I can find, I saw a Korean War site the other day with a village in it, looking for pics, but can't remember which one, I bookmarked it, but I've looked thru so many sites now.... Thanks for any consideration!!

While you are doing the rowhouses, how about adding those corners that Paul Lewis never finished, like the blue colored ones and the wood edged ones.
This stuff is unbelievable. You will make it a whole new game. Look at how far it has come from the special Lost Victories graphics. Will all this stuff be accessable using the A key or will it only be available in WaWMap?

Brent,
I think I may have stumbled across those. Look in 'single hex stone, user-2'...17 of the first 19 slots have row houses in them! They were the only buildings in that file, and judging by the 'gaps' I think they were accidentally overlooked and left unfinished. We've added alot of new structures to this file, but I made sure
not to change or move those that were already in there.
Hope this helps.

Aim is to make the whole stuff available within SPWAW ingame map editor, although Freds map editor can be used too when so desired. Freds map editor has some trouble with the "Tile transfer" function and I don´t know hwether it´s file size or any other limitation of this otherwise fine application. Still waiting for some reply from Fred.
All what tracer and myself are adding either can be accessed by the building menus (use 1, 2, ect.) or by use of "a" or "~" keys.
Don´t know about Paul´s unfinished rowhouses. Do you have the graphics? I very little do original graphics and mostly take and recombine from existing shapes, with some exceptions though.
BTW: Where did you ever see blue houses??
I found many of the original rowhouses having odd colors!

At least in germany, most rowhouse/city block roofs look dark to medium grey or have brown-reddish colors.
Well...in fact the "special" lost victories graphics, aren´t really that "special" actually. Some quick shape transfer from Icon files did the job. Also the tank icons are a lil bit oversized, something lots of people seem to forget when it comes to SPWAW scale! We only have a pixel resolution of 50 pixel per hex (=50 meter/yards) and that means we already do much of a compromise with the shape graphics. I added some fence and it´s only one pixel wide! Considering the scale it actually must not be included,...but...

Hey Mike,
I already made some jungle hut style house graphics, that could be working for you. They´re in Ter82 shape file that tracer has now. Tracer...can you forward the file to Mike?;)

OK, I was AWOL from the project for most of this week (d*mn job!), but I should get all the remaining work done before the weekend is over.
Right now I'm finishing up Ter82 (single hex wooden; use-1), and I'll upload it as soon as its done. It will still have a 'beta' designation since more icons may be added before its final release, but this way others can check it out. (Warhorse: I'll send you a PM with the link to the updated files once I upload them...if you just want to see the huts Harry mentioned, the 3/16/03 'version' has them:
http://home.cfl.rr.com/lagoon/upload/Ter82_3_16.ZIP )
Ter61 is here:
http://home.cfl.rr.com/lagoon/upload/Ter61_32603.ZIP Notice the 3/26/03 date in the file name...if any changes are made I'll rename the updated files to reflect this.
Ter83 (single hex stone; use-2) is the third and final file; I hope to have that completed and uploaded by this time tomorrow.
All 3 files I'm working on (actually, they're sets of files) should be 'finalized' and uploaded by Sunday. I believe the 3 files Harry is working on should be ready by then also...I'll try to post them all in the same directory and supply the links. Remember that the files will be included in the H2H patch, so there's no need to download them before its release; I'm making them available 'early' for designers who may be working on scenarios. From what I understand they'll also be made available as a patch for those using SPWAW v7.1 (I'll find out and post the details soon).
...back to the grindstone

These are the wood and blue building corners that are incomplete. There are others in the rowhouses that could use additional corners and sides to make uniform buildings. I would love to put the coiled barb wire in the Cross of Iron scenarios. Which file are they in?

I'm 99% sure the barb wire you're looking for is in Icon017.shp

This amy be a dumb question coming from me, but how would I access the file? I need the terr file number to open it in either the game or WaWMap

Sorry Brent, I misread your question: currently you can only place barbed wire by purchasing it...its not a 'terrain' icon (i.e., buildings, trees, etc). But I believe Harry put some barbed wire icons in his updated Ter90 file, so my first sentence will be un-true by Monday.
The only other possibility would be if there's a way of placing
unit icons on a map using WAWed or Fred's editor. I'm not familiar enough with those programs to know, but I'm sure others here have the answer to that.

I would like to get rid of the standard barb wire icon and replace it with a more real looking type. if it is in Terr 90 then I can lay the bard wire in the game then overlay the basrb wire from terr 90 onto the hex with the barb wire retaining the S8 values. I have the new terr 90 file from harry but it shows the same icon laid in a different way for left right laying of wire, no coils yet.

Hmmm, I have a helluva time getting small-detail items (like barbed wire) looking anywhere near repectable when I make them from scratch. If you've seen a graphic of the barbed wire you like in another game (even if its a small sample), point me toward it and I'll see what I can do.
Maybe Warhorse, Don Doom or Harry might know where to find something like that.

I have seen a perfect barb wire graphic, but it is in Combat Leader, so we'll have to wait:)

I need to clearify that barb wire and AT-Obstacles, as well as Mines are not S8 data!;) This stuff is somewhere buried with the other unit data somewhere in the *.dat files and I don´t know any way to edit them other then by placing them normally in the SPWAW editor,...unfortunately!:(
Brent,...would reworking the SPWAW barb wire do the trick? I mean I would hack and slash the graphics and recombine them to something better looking? Nonetheless..I need to hurry up now, as I want to send the finished files to Panzer Leo at thursady coming! I was hold up by a couple of new ideas that had to be finished. I made more than double as much new graphics as initially intended!

well..combat leader has a much better screen resolution and color depth, so trying to make something similar for SPWAW is impossible actually.
The variation that I placed in Ter90 only should enable to place north-south oriented barb wire in addition to the east west one. Placing the Ter90 barb wire graphics, does not mean placing the barb wire attribute, but I have an idea! We could replace the Icon17 barb wire with a transparent shape (the pure pink one) or with a single pixel shape, similar to the one that I added for placing invisible stone buildings in Ter85 or 83 IIRC.
This would work as follows: First you place the custom Barb Wire shape from Ter90 (or any) and then overlay with normal (now invisible) Barb wire (attribute) from SPWAW obstacle menu.
Huge drawback is that everybody using that edited icon17 file would have invisible barb wire on his maps or in his scenarios!
