Same for me. I've had similar issues with other Matrix games.

"Check for Update" from within the game has never worked for me, always some kind of error.

I got the update using the link in the announcement with no problems.

Hey got it working this morning d/l it now, as for the auto update I love if someone could tell me how to fix it, has been 2/3 years since actually got that to work

Excellent! What did you have to do to get it to go? Others could benefit from your experience.

I've tried 2-3 DOZEN times on each of the two possible download links. Times out every time. This is extremely tiresome and frustrating.

Thank-you for your continued support of this game. I'm sorry for your experience with this update. I create content. I don't know how to make things work with updates and patches. I have informed the people responsible for this. All I can do is continue to watch the train wreck. Wish I had the power to fix things digital but I don't.

In support of your plight, this is the last post I will write on Matrix/Slitherine's forum until your game is up and playing.

bc, thanks much for the kind words and solidarity! As usual, shortly after my last post I was suddenly able to download without any problems. I didn't do anything differently.

I (and I'm sure everyone else) understands that this has nothing to do with you, and presumably stems from inadequate server provisioning by Matrix. I'm sure this is a busy season, but still...

Haven't had a chance to actually install the update yet, but hope to in the morning!

Thank you very much for update 1.04 I'm very impressed by how you and and St. Ruth continue to improve this game. It certainly has come a long way since it's initial release. My friends and I will definitely be trying Salerno and the addition of numbers for the armies and losses adds to the immersion.

Sorry not very scientific, clicked on the link for the umpteen time and it worked that was it. as 76mm suggested maybe bandwidth dunno. the important thing is I got it [:D]
