I have been peeking in (and remaining quiet...impressed Goblin? :D ) on this thread...and thought a decent battle was at hand...but now this?!?!?!?!?!?

What happened Goblin? :confused: This thing won?!?!?!? :( :eek:

Negative, nothing all that dramatic. The force selection by both sides pretty much decided it without having to play it out. I steered away from Tigers (only had four), and 88's to be fair (didn't have any). GH came loaded for bear (Tigers) with a Crapload of 3"DP guns. They were hitting at 20-30% from 30+ hexes. There was NO way I was going to be able to retake the center victory hexes. I was driven off of them by massed 37mm AA, 40mm AA, 57mm AT, and 3" DP gun fire. Any attempt to move resulted in a dead vehicle on my end. Thus, I was defeated, and surrendered. Had I taken a more typical choice (all Tigers, and several 88's) like GH expected, it may have been different. I just tried not to overuse the rarer units (like I usually try not to do). He purchased better than I did.
