I think... I also had the crazy popup appear when I filled in the beta form... I tried to sign into it ... rejected.. so I just canceled and filled it out and submitted ... Hopefully it went through....

Beta team, must be a daunting task to make the selection . I'm up to the task, have the time, and the motivation. I suspect you are good muzzlehead. Check your e-mail. You should have got a response.

When the actual beta is delivered to the greedy and lucky hands of the few selected people? I think Erik said Eliott would go into some well deserved vacation before the actual start. So, we are looking at a fortnight delay before actual start, something like that?

During the stream on Tuesday, Erik said something about "next week", so perhaps earlier?

Has anyone started BETA? I got confirmation of receipt of application but not an approval or denial.

Hi everyone,

Just to clarify on the schedule, we opened beta recruitment so that we could give folks a chance to sign up and allow us time to look through the applications and select the first group.

Elliot is taking a vacation this coming week to prepare for the beta phase. As a result, we'll be gradually adding in the first wave of testers over the course of the next week to the tester forum. However, you will not have access to the beta build to test until Elliot returns from his vacation (week after next).

It's also worth noting that we've received a LOT of applications and the reality is that the first wave is limited by what we can handle, so only a fraction of those who apply will get into the first wave. There will likely be additional waves later on, recruited from the same pool of tester applications.

I'm the person who organized the French translation of DW:U (and the previous extensions) and I just wanted to talk with you about it.

First of all to import the existing translation quickly enough so that French speakers can have DW:2 before the release and have a section in the steam forum again like here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/261470/d ... 043027759/

And I'll add a topic on the Matrixgames French forum.

This totally voluntary initiative is now almost 10 years old and we hope it will continue for this new title.

If you want us to discuss the details, don't hesitate to contact me Erik.

Incidentally, I'm very interested to see the potential of modding on the DW:2, I had started quite interesting projects on this part. (resource generator (weapons, politics, races ect ...)

Thanks, I look forward to seeing what all the modders can do. Since the reveal, we've heard from quite a few who are very excited. Honestly we still have our heads down trying to just finish the game, but we'll do everything we can to support the modding community.

A quick disclaimer first: We expect that only a fraction of the folks who sign up will get in. I'm sorry about that, but the interest is high enough that it looks like it will be necessary. We'll be adding testers in waves, based on our ability to process and handle the feedback.

The page I get redireted to (http://www1.matrixgames.com/beta/signup.asp?gid=734) promts me with a HTTP basic access authentication request*. Even when I am already logged in via cookies.

*I have seen one of those prompts in years. They were originally designed for logins, but we pretty much went for our Dynamic Website code tracking session itself and never looked back.

The Formular also demands my password (what do you need it for, I am logged in via cookie. Just take my dang user ID!), but is not encrypted.
Everything there tells me your page has been hacked to phish away passwords. Maybe one of those tricky hacks, that does not appear to the developers and Admins, only to normal users?
That or the designer of the page has not touched HTML for 3 decades.

I would love to register, but I can not trust some security and design nightmare like that with stuff like my password!
