My apologies - you did mention patrol orders.
Perhaps leadership of the TFs was an issue? Aggression too low?

I also mentioned that in the post but there were a lot of agressive leaders (a lot of70+ and some 80+) , i still dont get why they didnt react but hopefully this turn we can recover. I am going all in to Pearl Harbor gotta keep it supressed untill Lahaina reaches level 9

I assume you game did not include a HR about limiting the number of PT boats per port size. If there is no HR, all is fair in love and war.

We have no rule at the moment, i have even suggested PT Boat rule at the start of the game and suggested after this turns engagement. We shall see soon

This turn was pure chaos both sides bombarded each others island

Also i am still hitting my own mines at Pearl Harbor while Japanese ships are not , what is minefield mapping anyway [8|]

Base ownership must have something to do with enemy mine avoidance. Just my guess.

Fantastic ground losses - you are destroying about 3X as many of his aircraft. Some questions:

- are the Japanese airfields in the HI still all closed?
- were there no surface ship clashes as you were trying to achieve previously?
- do you know the whereabouts of the IJN carriers at this time?

-I believe they should be open its been a few days since last bombardement
-I will attach the combatreport file to this reply , there were so many clashes it would take the whole page
-KB dumped all their airwings into Pearl Harbor and left , lost track of them

That was a massive report! Looks like the last third of the naval encounters featured no ammo on either side so they just gave each other the finger and went on their way. Considering the number of encounters the results were pretty inconclusive - a couple of CAs and CLs and lots of DDs lost on the Japanese side and maybe a little less on the Allied side. Good time to attack PH port next turn!

Too bad you had heavy rain interfere with your strikes on PH AF but then again, it may have reduced your losses from his heavy CAP.

Its been quiet lately , allied army reached to outskirts of Burma and got blocked by IJA in x3 terrain
I might have achieved highest casualty record in a delibarate attack today.

Japanese airforce have been hitting allied army in the jungle for a while now but it isnt doing much due to jungle. Today before the main attack allied airforce responded to Japanese , hundreds of bombers hit the Japanese troops in the jungle hoping to drive their disruption up but sadly didnt work well.
Even though only 2 units at high disruption whole attack got disruption (-) in this attack and it cost us heavy , lowest morale was 92

It looks like a lot of your AV was Chinese so the setback may not be as bad as it seems if the casualties were mostly concentrated in your Chinese units.

I dont have a lot of time to post to AAR lately.

Pacific Front;
Johnston island is captured with 50 H8K3's on the island.

India Front;
2 R Class Battleships got torpedoed at Diamond Harbour , didnt put enough cap over them and Betties got through , they are crippled but alive

Last week i have started challenging air superiority in Burma , its been mostly draw in air losses but we are fighting over Japanese teritory and pilot losses are starting to hurt Commonwealth and French airforces. Japanese tried to retalliate this turn but bombers arrived before the sweeps and i have stacked so much AA at Chittagong bombers getting through the cap didnt even land a single hit.

We got a new house rule ; Maximum 5 squadrons on Sweep on a single hex

3 New Tank divisions and 2 tank brigades arrived to roadblock near Prome i am thinking of another deliberate attack

As Chinese army is moving to cross river into Mandalay i was hoping to weaken defenders at Mandalay from air , sadly bombers arrived before the sweeps and it was very bloody. I had a very reliable method so far with fighters sweeping 5k above bombers and most of the time they arrive before the bombers but not this time sadly [:(]

I got about 20k AV in India as reserve , 10k AV at Australia and about 3k AV at Alaska front. Now the question is what do i do with this excess AV at India ? Pearl Harbor invasion should happen in about a month and that will free up a massive amphibious invasion force , i could use some input on selecting next invasion target.

At the moment we got Carrier parity at best , IJN might have more plane capacity if Andy Mac sped up carriers from start. So before the operation i need to figure out where KB is , otherwise it can lead to a disaster

What about Port Blair? It is the cork in the Malacca strait bottle. It will make his supply route to Rangoon under risk of air and sea attack if you take and hold Port Blair. It will also threaten a further landing at Sabang or along the lower coast of southern Burma or norther Malaya. The threat to southern Burma would be a risk to cutting his forces off above Pegu and his retreat out of Burma could be a very long slow and costly trug through the jungle to Thailand. I suggest this as it seems you have a lot of excess troops in India as your post suggests so then you would need to win local air superiority over Port Blair but already have the troops on hand. As you accurately state knowing where the KB is would be the clue where your operation should occur away from it.
