Another hex falls.

Stalino falls.

An attack from a single hex vs a level 5 fort and the results are much better than I expected.

A fort level is easly dropped.

5 more hexes are cleared as things go far better than expected vs high CV hexes. Possible Leningrad will fall this year.

Another fort level drops.

Even with the weather being very bad a few more hexes fall.

AGS picks off another hex.

NW Leningrad falls

Fort level dropped. Was not able to get a full attack from both hexes.

Sevastopol should fall the next good weather turn.

Losses

The northern part of the front did as expected, other than Leningrad still in enemy hands. It should fall first good weather turn.

Depots are filling up, most of the troops are dug in and reserves will be in place before Dec 1st.

Southern part of the front is in good condition, but the center is weak.

Am I wrong or it seems the best way to go around is 'Hog the ports to help logistics and get Sebastopol and Leningrad for points, screw go deeper in the East' type of approach?

You can concentrate the fdr and get ONE rail open to far north lenn area very quickley
So for me its lenn thenn kiev stalino rostov with center hitting the route Moscow to keep reds honest with troops

The cities in the center you do not want to take as you will not be able to hold them and the SU will score easy VP's.
Logistics in center south is very bad and would appear to be easy to take back come 42.

Sevastopol you can take NP with 1 good infantry Corp and a few panzer divisions late summer. The logistics is bad for both sides and level 5 forts drop faster 2.0 than 1.0 because the 2.0 system is 80% logistics.

Leningrad if you put enough into it and push hard first few turns it will fall 41 or early 42.

I am told I am not killing enough Russians, but I am playing better runners than my first 6 games. I guess you would have to force the center more towards Moscow, but if you do not take it you would fall short on VP.

Guess I have to look at things a little different next time around.
