Wait, that is not an absolute yet.
Maybe I should go see if CNN has anything concrete to add.
Bulletin: The Weekly World News just announced it will have the ghost of Elvis as the Allied commander and be set in post-war Berlin.

Your memory still needs tweaking hehe, it wasn't a Sherman they were riding.
It was an M3 Stuart.
Only until the Stuart was knocked out...then the crew "made" there own tank from a tank graveyard...
M4 Jess also loves Sgt Rock!

The Haunted Tank! Oh how that brings back memories...I found a Haunted tank Comic a few years back...Loved the re-read and you know what? An M3 can climb buildings and Kill Tigers with head shots...LOL...Now that imagery explains why I keep buying lot's of Stuarts in PBEM's...funny thing, though, they just keep crashing into the buildings and getting immobilized. Must be a game bug, unh...?

Also played your scenario about the FJ in Norway, with the airport, first scenario i actually won (with limited ammo on)!

Poor old Mog sat sucking down a beer. The VFW was deserted and lonely. He sat recalling his glory days in the Desert with Rommel or the Jungles with the Marines.

Tell me about it, Mog!
Those were some hectic but very good times. You are a true VFW and a great asset to the gaming community and were to me during those two tours of duty.
I hope that this one lives up to the adage, "Save the best till last."

Oh, I don't mind a litle sleuthing, FMJ! That is part of the fun of it. I'm just not going to say right or wrong. My lips are sealed, at least for now. As this progresses, more light will be shed on the theme, I promise.

A Mega-Comic book Campaign! Sgt Rock and his Howling Commandos with the Haunted Tank and.....nah, I was just kidding. Heroes in the comcs are a dime a dozen... heroes in real life, though, sometimes do things that even a comic book can't top---the only difference is, other people witnessed what Medal of Honor winners did. Reading these accounts, you can see what inspired many comic book writers who knew their history. All of the citations are available on the web--some of the accounts are d amn near incredible, but they actually happened. In that light, reading the true events as an adult gives life to what their juvenile comicbook heroes did every week, but in many cases the truth was even more incredible that what the comics depicted.

I can give a hint: It's quite possible that there will be mines in it

I'm still in therapy after Desert Fox. I don't even mow the lawn without sweeping for mines first!:D
This is truely great news.

I hear that Wild Bill has discovered how to make mines out of fiberglass now.
