Which begs another question, what do you think about the weather in general? The autumn and winter months basically bring the game to a standstill. Is it overdone? Too much bad weather? Too much bad weather effects? Thoughts?
I have always felt that the bad weather is a bit too bad. Especially on the Eastern front so much happened during winter turns that is not easy to replicate in the game. I hope in WP2 the bad weather effect is not quite as bad. I want the rain and possibly blizzard turns to be resting turns but snow should be a bit easier to fight in. Just my 2 cents

Yeah, my feeling is that some of the weather effects are a bit too harsh as well (or there are too many turns of bad weather). Effectively everything slows down to a crawl or a standstill for a long time. Of course you can change this in the editor if you want.

Sealion is a grind into 1941. The hope is to take them out before Uncle Sam gets really pissed off. At the very least you can cripple them then pull back for a 1942 Barb. At the same time you should be pounding all their other positions putting maximum pressure on the UK.
Killing the UK in 1940 is incredibly hard to do even for an experienced player vs a novice wargamer. You might be able to kill the UK in 1940 against my wife who isn't a wargamer and just builds ships.
Thanks for the reply. So, the patch is ready. When will it be available for download?

As soon as it passes the Matrix sniff test. Also they have other games ahead of me in the slot. So I gotta wait my turn.

The bad weather months are supposed to be rest periods as they were in the real war. During the mud season not much happened in Russia. You still can attack in the snow but the weather recovers effectiveness slower.

I appreciate what you are saying, but right now the campaign season is so short. I am considering changing the month of May for the North Moderate, Mediterraneum and Semi Arid to be basically clear weather. And to lessen the effects of severe weather slightly in those zones. Winter conditions in Russia are not quite the same as in the rest of Europe. Rasputitsa in France with its better infrastructure is not on the same level. Just my thoughts.

That's why there is an editor. So you can adjust.

Hmmm, looking at the editor and the weather effects. It seems there is no possiblilty to differentiate the effects depending on the weather zone. The effect of snow is the same (-35% combat), regardless of weather zone. So if you want to lessen the impact of snow in for example the North moderate zone (North Western Europe basically), you can only lessen the occurence of bad weather but not the severity of the effects.

I think you mean there are only 5 weather conditions. And the modifiers for those 5 conditions are the same for all the weather zones. Alas.
