41. Move 1/10 PZ rgmt to Hex (I took 1/10 because it has move CV and normally is the case(normally has the SU when split when only one SU in the Div)

42. Move 299th and 111th Div forward 1 hex SE

43. Move XXIX HQ to hex

44. HA 4th Mech. Retreats West per the yellow arrow

45. Move 295th Div to Hex. Move Corps HQ XXIX to hex shown

46. Assign 295th Div to XXIX Corps HQ

47. Attack Lvov with 295th Div. AT Brigade retreats per yellow arrow. 1st pocket is complete (Also be aware of city attacks and combat delay, not the case here but well worth a manual search if you don't (Living Manual))

48. Move 57th Div to Hex

49. Move 299th Div to Hex

50. Move LV HQ to Hex

51. Move XXXXVI Mot HQ to hex. This move will still keep the Corps HQ within 15 hexes of the PZ Group HQ

****ADDENDUM NOTE added on 11/21**** This battle (#52 step) is very important to try and get the Soviet CAV to rout. Doing so may require more force and will have to switch out the PZ rgmt with a Inf Division. You will have to be the judge of this using the predictor and your attack experience. It really is hard to predict. In my game the Soviet Cat was weak and easily routed. In your game the RNG for this Soviet CAV may be a great deal stronger. If that is the case you will have to use your judgement on what to bring to this battle. IF the Soviet Cav retreats it will retreat most times to the east down the rail line. You will have to hit it again. Good luck and this battle is a "key" battle.

52. HA with 57 Inf, 299 Inf, and 1/10 rgmt against the Soviet 14 Cav division. (NOTE: DO NOT attack the Mech first because if you did it would retreat east. By attacking the Soviet Cav first and winning the hex the Soviet Mech will now retreat to the SE). The Soviet CAV routed per the yellow arrow. Also note that we don’t want delay in one or the other of these hexes.

53. HA with 57 Inf, 299 Inf, and 1/10 rgmt against Mech Div. It retreats per the yellow arrow. (Normally I would not use my PZ’s against a Mech or Armor Div and would have brought the other Inf Div instead after already doing this not thinking this through. Oh well I lose 10 tanks)

54. Move 2/10 PZ rgmt to hex (this is done to dictate retreat priority of the next battle of the Armor to its NW)

55. Move 75 Inf Div to hex

56. DA with 75th Inf Div. Please note this was a risky attack on multiple levels. But I have enough MP’s for a hasty if it failed to try again. If HA’ing this hex you will probably want 2-3 divisions. This is just a tricky hex. Anyway herded the Armor into the forming pocket marked in yellow.

57. DA with 9th Div to consolidate pocket
