1)I checked component repair priority, it is indeed random and this implemented in BaconMod code (maybe it was originally in DW:U).
I thought about priority config for component types to set priority instead of random. And possibly an option to revert the behavior to the original.
Any ideas on this?
2)About spy\research facilities, will look later. Got stuck with performance improvements.

An image would be pointless since there's nothing to see lol. It's the zoomed out view. No dots, crosses and whatnot.
I always thought the repair was random but could never verify. It's an annoyance not critical.
My thinking on the buildings would be a 1% bonus per but it should be optional because it would mainly be a player bonus, like the terraforming building and the research ships. I could adjust the AI to put effort into building them but that's alot of work for a little gain. It was just a thought by no means necessary.
Another thing would be gas, ice giant and rock colonization. You know, for fun.

I just confused what is missing in ship and bases, there is shipsAndBasesButton.png that loads in UI (F11 button), there is icons on minimap, base background with hexagon and so on.

Oh sorry my fault. So when you're zoomed out, the freighters are dots, passengers are crosses, and mining ships are an x etc... all of those symbols at that level are gone. Military, construction are gone. All the ships are there just the representation symbols are invisible.

If you are using DWUR then yes, I got confused about new icons too.

The 10th strike force above has it's name and number of ships but no fleet triangle symbol. Same with Lyras fleet. Just a 20. The screen is full of all sorts of ships but you'd never know because the symbols are invisible.

If the problem is on my end then I will investigate 1st. I run a heavily modified version of my retreat mod so I may have done something dumb.

Check that your ship symbols are not blank, DWUR use blank to hide some icons.

I see that the visual glitch in the ship design screen has been fixed!!! Finally! Since patch 1.9.5.8! Yay!!!
To which file(s) in the mod can this correction be attributed?

Yep, i just can't find what it is. Not sure that even your mod files will help to find it on my PC. Maybe some multitasking bug that you hit as your CPU faster than mine.
Probably will make some test versions with different improvements disabled so you can test them.

Please test 1.06.03 version with starting new game and checking icons.
Only thing I managed to break is galaxy background after loading between saved games that have different themes.

Omg, it just error in 1.06.x version that I missed and somehow fixed later during development and that why I have icons.
Tomorrow I will fix this and make a new version.

Modding manual doesn't mention about race specific UI images modding option. If you add raceName folder in \images\ui\chrome\raceName then game will use this images instead of general \images\ui\chrome\
This available in original game and BM\EM, but only for themes.
