We've finally broken through on the road to Ankang!

I got a lot of assets together today to launch a proper sweep over Tuyun, hoping to catch the Hurricanes and P-38s up. Instead, we got the leftovers. We got a clean victory here but it was a qualified one, because it wasn't really what I had wanted.

Today's turn felt like many of the others, with some gains and prep work. Nothing exciting happening at all. But little would I know this turn would be the last before all Hell breaks loose.

In the blink of an eye, all the momentum from our campaign has been snatched away. Macho executed an incredibly bold and daring operation in the DEI, out of the blue and completely unexpected, and we are caught completely by surprise.

The Gary Grigsby Gods feel sorry for us after the big blowout, and are gifting with victories that I didn't expect. My brave Japanese Samurai in China just pulled off a big unexpected win for us in China as we take a base I've been eying since the very start of the campaign.

We tried for another deliberate attack at Palembang, and despite my best efforts, we did not have the desired outcome. It was so bad, even Bob Barker had something to say about it.

The battle on sea and air was pretty quiet today, but we had a big win on the ground in China and I couldn't be happier about it! Every hex we have a victory is a hex closer to final victory in China.

As I sit at Palembang waiting for my infantry to recover, I decided it's time to put my tanks to work. They're going in on their own this turn, so let's see what they can do.

We get pretty lucky with some sub-on-sub activity near Brisbane, so good that Ainsley Harriot decided to stop by! (make sure you watch until the very end for an encore).

I really should have put down the Philippines sooner. He's surging everywhere now, and it's going to be difficult to contain him as I left too few forces behind to keep an eye on everything.

The Philippines are a mess right now, but I feel like things are back on track in China. We had several nice wins today, cleaning our back lines and rear areas and allowing us to send troops back into Manchukuo to exchange troops.

Despite having a robust CAP presence over Surabaya, enemy floatplane bombers made quick work of a transport loaded with troops, and I am deeply disappointed by their performance today. Was it their fault though, or mine?

I threw everything but the kitchen sink at Palembang today. Hundreds of bombers, thousands of troops. We have a 10:1 advantage on him on the ground. Is today the day we finally take Palembang?

Moving onto other area, we've got a serious issue on Mindanao with the Americans out in the open causing mayhem. Today, we fix that. My brave soldiers taken on the combined American and Filipino force at Cagayan and send them back into the hills, running.

Out of frustration, I sent everything at Palembang again, not expecting much to occur, but something magical, mysterious and incredible just happened. This was the best turn I've ever had in WitP!

Now that I've got a plan and I am in the process of returning troops to Singapore, it's time to get back to work in China and really start pushing the pace there. I want Chungking by the Fall!
