Turn 14 July 11, 1944
Saipan: General Saito pulls back his forces to the north-side of the island. New defensive and ambush sites are selected.
Tinian: Japanese Arty pounds the US Tank company.
The reinforced Ha-Go Lt Tank company races up the undefended east road to try to take back Ushi airfield and the supplies there.
Guam: All new defenses are prepared and the troops are digging in.

Turn 15 July 13, 1944
Saipan: Heavy rain stalls the American advance. These blessed torrents also protected an AA unit that came under heavy air attacks from US carriers. The AA unit passed unscathed but the CVL air elements took losses.
General Saito meanwhile digs deeper on the north end of the island.
Tinian: Again the defenders hold the south airfields. The Lt Tank company almost reaches Ushi and runs out of fuel outside supply dumps at the town and airfields. Empty saki bottles and buckets filled with petro give enough fuel to creep closer to Ushi and the north end airfields.
Guam: Defenders are well dug in.

Turn 16 July 15, 1944
Saipan: The loss of 31st Army Hq supplies causes acute problems for the defenders.
Tinian: The intrepid Ha-Go tankers get fat on US supplys piled up at Ushi. They got lucky! Next its seizing Airfields 1 and 2 behind the Americans backs. Anyone got a light?
Guam: Still digging in.

Turn 17, July 17, 1944
Saipan: General Saito's remnants comb the villages on the northern tip of the island for supplies and move closer to those sources to dig in for a final stand.
Tinian: The Ha-Go Tank Company retakes Airfields 1 and 2. They will have plenty of cigarettes for their last stand.
Guam: All peaceful and quiet as final preparations are made for an expected US landing.

Turn 18 July 19, 1944
Saipan: General Saito's remnant force digs in close to their remaining supply sources at the north end of Saipan.
Tinian: The Ha-Go Tank company expands its patrol perimeter on the north end of the island. Other elements are in hiding on other parts waiting and staying low as US forces occupy the south end. No image for F.oW. reasons
Guam: Seabees [Event] blow up port defences on the western side of the island. No image for F.o.W. reasons. It is determined that another wave of US troops are on the way to the Marianas.

Turn 19 July 21, 1944
Saipan; Basically holed up on the north-side of the island. Got an DEC whether General Saito wants to form an SF 'Saito Force' with enhanced attack capabilities and meager defense stats or get 2 Battalions of infantry. We choose Saito Force.
Otherwise..additional screenshots of Saipan for this turn unnecessary, as there is one above, and I have some ambushes set up of my own.
Tinian; We hold the retaken Airfields in the north-end of the island and have 'sleepers' on other parts. The US force there is small so we are going guerilla.
Guam: For F.o.W. no screenshots till the next invasion force arrives. Its key that we stay hidden until the GI's decided where to land. Ambush sites and sleepers await them.

Turn 20 July 23, 1944
Saipan: General Saito's force still hold the north end. The Americans bombard and do airstrikes in torrential rains with small result. The Americans land forces seemingly pulled back also.
Tinian: The Ha-Go Tank Company holds out at the recaptured Airfields and Ushi on the north-side of the island as stragglers crawl in from the south. Also a sleeper unit hides in some jungles.
Guam: Holding and digging. No sight of any new American landing Task-force.
@Simicro: You like Tuco? Well, Tuco isn't here, but General Lotus Eater is.

Turn 21 July 25, 1944
Saipan: Narpi Airfield comes under heavy bombardment and airstrikes from the US Fleet. A Hq was destroyed. No sign of the American land forces.
Tinian: The small force that made it back to the north side of the island consolidate. Tanks can be heard moving on the west road. A sleeper force lays in wait....
Guam: All forces are well dug in. No sign of the enemy

Turn 22 July 27, 1944
Guam: The Americans split their landing forces at Guam and are attempting landings on the west and northern areas of this island. A devastating response awaited these ketoshins.
Tinian: A US Tank Company is seen lumbering up the east road. They appear to be close to running out of fuel. Orders for the sleeper force hidden on the island are made to move.
Saipan: After some delay, General Saito forms Saito Force comprised of the most hard-core soldiers he has.
The Americans are going to pay dearly.................
