Well then I guess you'll just have to play map 2 and go to the hex and see for yourself.

I played all 5 maps. Working your way through the "maze" was definitely the only challenge, but each map takes a bit as you look for the little bit of greenery or water that seems to denote the entrance into the next area.

I have been having some REAL trouble with the third map in the Deep core campaign. I took out two titans with pretty much no trouble, but I can't seem to find the rest of the map. Finding a needle in a Hay stack is not fun. If I wanted to solve puzzles i would have played myst.
Sorry if that sounded negative. I guess it was. I just find it frustrating that I am forced search my way through a map looking for a way into the rest of the map. For goodness sakes the challenge should be to cooridinate your squad, and destroy the enemy in battle. The challenge should NOT be to find the rest of the map.
That said, I was having fun with the game before this came up. Now I have a new squad, and they are stuck in a map I may not be able to get them out of. I say that cause Suithra indicated in the briefing that sometimes Jump Jets would be the way to go. Well only one of my titans is so equipped. It makes me wonder if I will even be able to finish.
So if anyone has a spoiler for the 3rd Map please drop it here. cause I doubt I will play again till I can get past it.

You are looking for the point of the V that the water makes at location 10,2. Search/walk near the walls you'll find it.
There are similar events like this in earlier maps that open new areas as well.

Rosary,
Thanks for the help. I was just coming back to edit my above post cause I didn't like the tone. I guess I was just frustrated a bit, when I wanted to have fun. Thanks for the tip, and thanks for all the work you folks close to the game are doing. --edited to add that I apologize for the tone of original post.
Isn't the area you are refering to in the section of the map Suthira tells me is a dead end? I got flustered when I was checking around the area of the 'Pass' he was so happy I had found. If not for the 'Help' text the game provided I might have found it on my own. Or perhaps it is just extremely good character development. Did you want me to hate Suthira? It is working hehe.

I wanted suthira to seem to have a low level of patience. But my true goal was to let the player be curious as well as a tough fighter. Its worth looking around the maps and walls and into dark spots. Something very well might be there. Especially if you missed a spot. Its not so bad since automove can make the search relatively quick and easy.
