In the lights, between a Slugger and a Bloodhound, which would you choose?

Tough call.

1 v 1. Probably the Bloodhound, just cause I like the AC12s.

On a squad, probably the Slugger and use it in more of a support role.

If you mean, which would I choose to drop out of the database if I had too, it would be the Slugger. Not that many AC12's in the lights.

Just playing around in the database now. hehe [:)]... For my playstyle, I'd take the Bloodhound, lose the ECM and add +2HR and a BC6 with some minor armor changes.

So the Bloodhound plays more of a standoff attack role whereas the Slugger is more of a support role? So they're different enough...

Don't lose the Slugger, it's the bomb yo! Honestly, it's range advantage can really make the difference if it can maintain some distance on it's opposition, a good trip and staggered fire can put you way ahead on the AP front. Though, I think I modded mine for a better scanner or BC in exchange for some armor or DCS or something... I'll have to see if it is still sitting in my squad's garage.

Don't lose the Slugger

Don't worry, it's not going anywhere. It does it's job admirably[:)]

I think Aquietfrog was just noteing the similiarities it has with the Bloodhound (and the Spear and Cutthroat). All 4 can fill similiar roles but thier are differneces. For MY playstyle I like the Spear or Cutthroat as a support titan, the Bloodhound as a more of a near frontline titan, and the Slugger as a support titan that can close to the frontline with no real problems, sorta a Jack-of-all-trades when it comes to Cannon based lights, but that's just me.

I've always overlooked the slugger and had prefered the Bloodhound for its big guns, just that recently in my Hard Core game, I've been encountering it and noticed that it's a very effective titan (meaning, I've been losing a lot when faced against them). Been seeking some enlightenment on how it is different from the Bloodhound... now it's clear to me that it has flexibility as its advantage. I'll be looking forward to getting this titan in the future.

IE. The error says IE can't open the site. Tried "save as" too but got the same error.

That's odd. I'm using Mozilla and it works just fine. Maybe the forum has browser incompatibilities?

You renamed the Sparrowhawk to Pulsar?

Yeah, Iceman suggested the change. I thought it was a good idea at the time, but now I'm starting to have second thoughts.... I think I got used to 'Sparrowhawk' since it's been named that in my database since NeferiousNoel originaly posted it quite a while ago and now I sorta miss the name[8|] ...go figure. Since others may not have the attachment to the name that I did, I left it as Pulsar as it's a good 'discriptive' name.

If others want to change it back let me know and I'll change it back.

For anyone out there that can download the attachment.. I just swapped it out with an 'updated' version that cleaned up a few thing behind the scenes, nothing that effects gameplay other then a few titans may be a $1 or 2$ cheaper/more expensive and I changes the Sparrowhawk/Pulsar back to Sparrowhawk.

For anyone that wants a copy and can't download it, drop me a PM with a e-mail address in it and I'll e-mail to you. If the attachment problem witht he forums don't get fixed soon maybe we can get someone to posted it as a download at another location?
