I've committed some serious tactical blunders - overthinking most likely, and just plain violation of military principles.

I'm holding on everywhere I can that I won't get creamed but I'm a year at least away from significant forces to stem the tide...

BTW, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named has sortied again from Kawajalein with the KB Death Star headed toward Midway/Pearl. I am deploying to hold whatever line I can.

Saratoga is directed to run away and Yorktown is also standing clear.

Dadman was bombarding my advancing troops with Anzac CAs and CLs. Why he didn't FT Sopac out of there before my troops took them down I'll never know.

I wasn't thinking correctly, I needed more sea lift, and that was on the way, just not fast enough. I feared his Nell/Betty A/Gs based at Noumea.

And no, it wasn't Nimitz commanding, it was Kimmel... RIP you bugger. As to defensing this gambit, I would have had to grasp the full impact of it to have gotten the 2nd Marines on the hop. I'm not that perceptive.

Break your Tfs down to one ship..........by having three or more you are making things way too easy for him. IIRC in the first game against Luskan I lost close to 100 ships in under two weeks..........in our current PBEM I only lost about 20 of the ships fleeing the PI and DEI.

Good point. You'd think with all the hours invested in playing/testing, I'd think to do these things. I guess that's why Mogami always liked playing me.

Well, more of the same for me, as he continues to kick, my butt out of the Philipines and DEI. He's taken Clark Field, PI, and Tarakan, near Borneo. Losing Clark Field, meant the loss of some 50 aircraft, mostly because I didn't want to spend the PPs to move them. An error in retrospect.

Moulemein fell last turn, Rangoon is next. He's banging away at Alor Star pretty hard. I imagine it will only take another week.

So, it's more subs and flubs.

Well, a bit of R and R is scheduled for half my hard working navy, while the other half continues to roll forward. Balikpapan and Samarinda are next on the menu and they won't last long, which will give me enough resources to stay on even keel for the next few weeks as I expand my industries to expand my war effort.

In Burma I think Dadman is going to get cut off and beaten - the reason my Malayan advance was so pathetic is because the extra two divisions I usually send to malaya are in burma.

So, He has now taken Alor Star in his bid to slowly swallow up the Maylay Pennisula. Hardly unexpected. Performed a nice end-around by grabbing Moulemein and cutting off Rangoon. I was too stupid not to abandon Rangoon or station troops along a blocking path.

Looks like he's mounting something from Kendari perhaps into Timor to cut the supply lines to Java.

KB has apparently departed CenPac and is parts unknown. I had feared a swipe at Midway, but I'm guessing he was just trolling for chum.

IJN SubCom has set a blockade along the West Coast near San Francisco, and I am working as best I can to counter that threat with what I have on hand.

Well my sub net is for your hoardes of brutalised battleships limping home. I'm so ready for them.
