Hi, The great Japanese plan in China is simple. Kill more Chinese then Chinese kill Japanese. Insure no Chinese airfield exists in range of Japanese strategic targets.
Time alloted to complete mission. 1000 turns. (after week 143 I will send no supply, Airgroups or further troops to China. )

One for the PT fans. Most important for me, I get an accurate count of his ships.

I wonder what the odds were on the shell that hit Hiryu, hitting a fueled plane on deck, touching off the ammo storage and causing massive explosive damage...[X(]

Currently KB is steaming SW to intercept but they are too far away.

Since they are so far from port I am hoping Hiei, Zuiho and Zuikaku will sink before they reach port. Despite tactical defeat in the surface battle I'm writing it up as a minor strategic victory for the Allies: every Japanese CV or CVL sunk is a step closer to VJ day.

Hi, It was a great fight. I had the TF training the airgroups because these CV/CVL had the least amount of experiance.
Stupid me. I stood down my largest fighter group to rest. I've been doing that to keep a fresh group on CAP. (note to self retire out of range to rest airgroups. When in range of enemy fly tired)

(what do you mean too far away? The campaign in the South Pacific is just beginning)

Too far away to find any ships to sink. You're welcome to invade Noumea of course.

Hi, OK then it will go down as a strategic Japanese victory because after the battle Japan retains control of the area. Of course the victory will not be complete prior to Japanese occuping Noumea and Efate.

Hi, We will have to see what happens. If I invade I will take because Noumea will be cut off. I only hope there is enough there to justify the effort. I'm not interested in the base I am after the troops and material you moved there.
