or if i can get rid of my short range pete's and get a standard floatplane for the entire surface navy...jake's?
I believe I would choose a mix of Alf's and Jake's, but oh the joy of eliminating Pete's!!!

Kid,
Is it possible to add a command line parameter like -repeatrandoms, to force the random events to repeat after you press "End Turn"? My suggestion would be "End Turn" to force some seed to the random number generator.
My point with that is that any bug that depends on a random number will never repeat, so the mythical repeatable save for not only the leader bug but any other bugs will never be achieved if we let the random numbers go loose.
This parameter would be around only on a temporary basis, and it can just be removed on a future version.
F.
PS: or, better yet, force the seed to be the turn number, so that even if the numbers repeat for the same turn, they will be different on different turns (so to not destroy playability completely).

I'll ask Mike.

Agree 100%[:)] I like to use the Esc key due a tip of Mr Frag. But now and then it happens that I push it 1 time to much and gone is WitP.
But let it further as it is[:)]

I'll ask Mike.
Thank you.
By the way, just to give further inspiration for helpful command line parameters, these are the undocumented command line options used in TOAW. You'll notice that the this one is inspired on -norandom.
nodelay – Useful for debugging scenarios in computer vs. computer play mode, this option turns off many of the small timer controlled delays and animations in the game. The effect is most noticeable on faster machines.
noupdate - Useful for debugging scenarios in computer vs. computer play mode, this option turns off many of the screen updates in the game. The effect is most noticeable on slower machines. This option should not be used when playing the game, as some of the updates are necessary for normal play purposes. A combination of nodelay and noupdate can speed computer vs. computer scenario test dramatically.
nosound – Turn off all sound.
norandom – Turns off system time based initialization of the random number generator used in TOAW.
polog – Turns on the programmed opponent logging feature. This will generate a po_log.txt file in your game directory. The log file is a detailed record of programmed opponent decision making during a game.
toawlog – Turns on the general game logging feature. This will generate a toaw_log.txt file in your game directory. The log file is a detailed record of many game management functions, including loading and unloading of resources and combat resolution.
nointro – Turns the introductory cinematic off.
uberdude – Increases the amount of feedback from the event engine and other game functions for debug purposes. Many event engine actions that leave no trace in normal mode will fully document themselves in the news report if you use the uberdude switch. This can be used during normal play, but is really intended for scenario designer use. It has a tendency to clutter the news report and certain graphics areas with information that isn’t needed during normal play.

Is this font switch only applicable to the 1.41 new beta? When it is released will there be a simple 'idiot's guide' to how to apply the switch please?
My eyesight is pretty good, I have a good monitor and I'm straining often to read the text.

RE: Aircraft Upgrade have changed
Has there been any change to Japanese Aircraft production, to keep older types in production?
Have hope. I have not given up on it yet. We will just have to be patient a little longer.
Baby steps, Baby steps.
it looks like you can go to older claudes on the screenshot. i hope this is what they are going for.

Using the command line parameter –altFont now switches the game font from 14 point Times New Roman to 15 point Ucida Sans Unicode. This font is a bit larger and may work better on some monitors. Although this feature is unsupported, a goodly number of minor changes to text-boxes, list-boxes and text placement were made to account for the larger font size.

Any plans to make 32-bit full screen graphics available as option via command line switch?

When ships carrying resources, oil, supply or fuel suffer deck or belt hits, some of the cargo is now destroyed. The amount depends on the type and severity of hit and type of cargo. In some cases oil or fuel may ignite, causing fire damage (more for the latter, than the former).

Well at least mention it to Mike (although I assume he watches this thread himself [:D])
32-bit graphics looks so much better, but is currently available only if you play game in windowed mode (I have no idea why it's made this way in the first place).
