A Jap BB was spotted up north of the Aleutians yesterday; it was bombed ineffectually. Radio intercepts think that it has pulled back for now. North Pacific command is on a heightened state of awareness for the near future.
SWPac and SoPac continue to work on their organization and planning. Luganville airdrome is ready to accept heavy bombers now; just waiting for the supplies to get shipped up to the base.
