Yeah there are one or two things that could be fixed, but for the most part I REALLY enjoy playing this game, and it sure as hell beats anything else that is out there at this point in time for scope and value for money.

What else are you gonna do? Play the old PACWAR and UV ?

I dont know, but the original Pacwar (version 22?) wasnt all that bad, and it had the plus of not taking longer to play the game than it took to fight the real war [;)]

.. (write a book) or at least something as enjoyable (whack my head into the wall while listening to good music).

So, what kind of book are you planning to write?

Don't know if i will. I am split between trying fiction (which i don't think i'd be much good at but might be fun), or a technical book (medicine) which i probably would be good at but might not be fun. However, i have to go do my turn now, so i won't be starting on either...[:'(]

Maybe i should do a guide to WITP...[:D]

Actually I wish someone would.

I asked this before but never received an answer: who has an editor for Acrobat files? A couple years ago I almost bought the new Photoshop package that included this, but I never pulled the trigger. Anyway, with that software in hand the manual could be properly rewritten in a resonably efficient manner.

Anyone? Hello?

Anyone? Hello?

TJ,

Though I've never tried, I'm informed that the version I use for work does in fact editing capabililtes. Though, there would be several hurdles that I believe would need to be cleared (I'm assuming you're referring to editing the existing pdf manuals provided with the game) ... Such as

1) Copyright permission (presumably from both Matrix and 2by3)
2) Whose providing the content
3) Availability of the various parties (etc ...)
4) How many new "Best of the West" images you post [;)]

There might be an old copy of Acrobat available somewhere that somebody "broke into" and "fixed" for the public. I'll look around.

As for the copyright issue: I can't see Matrix seriously objecting (though it would be polite to ask first) provided it was made available free for hobby use. The manual extant is terrible. It needs a rewrite in the worst way.
