dang, I'm matched against one of the non-responders. I was hoping to get a couple turns in tonight. hopefully get gets back to me today.

also, I guess I missed it, but people are supposed to play both game simultaneously right?

My opponent pointed that out too, do we play both at once?
I suggested we start one, then play a few turns, then start the second one. That way we're not playing the same turn at the same time, like you're playing both sides at once :)
However, I can see playing both games at once, or one after the other...
Anyone else got an opinion on that? [&:]

Personally I would prefer to play consecutively rather than concurrently 5cats. The time taken is the same & I feel it would be more fun to know what you need to do in the 2nd game in order to come away with a win.

However if people want to play concurrent then I see no actual problem with that tournament wise.

Sign me up if you're still taking reserves.

Fazman, Dragol, I shall add you both to the reserve list (we have brought in one reserve already) and send you some information shortly.

Fazman - Maginot has already asked to help out in terms of AAR. At the moment I'm not sure what else there is to do but if anything crops up I'll let you know.

Cheers

I have trouble getting in touch with my opponent badbonez:

>> ERROR:
>> Requested action not taken: mailbox unavailable
>> Server replied: 550 5.0.0 <badbonez@*edit*.net>... No more spam from
>> *edit* Com (US)

(edits are mine to avoid posing his badbonez address)

I think it's due to his ISP being blocked due to spamming. Badbonez, please contact me through another email address.

hi! just a half-time report of my games with Forwan45 (hope u dont mind i publish this brief AAR).

we have both games in progress and its around su/fa 44 (should reach '45 by now if not the hotmail/ aol server probelm that put us out of contact since last Sat, wish Forwan45 rec'd my turns by now ...)

My Axis round
my plan is to grab an AV by Wi43 and leave the russians untouched. i did manage to break thro' suez and over-run india. but the best i could get was ~65 PP b4 the russians came and kick the axis' ass hard. should get it closer to 70PP if not the reverse lend-lease incident in middle-east and i forgot to account for the supply for partisan in PRC .... long story. by su44, the germans is down to ~15PP (?) but got a sizable panzer army (10+ ? cant remember ...)

the IJN is still doing fine (w/ 26PP) as there were no allied transports in the pacific, except 2 in the port of NZ and those in the ports of west coast. and the allied transports were down to 15 for the past two turns[:D]

but the down size is that the allied nuclear bomb is almost ready (9 attack now[X(])
[:-] good planning pays off ...

My Allied turn
russia got a really early attack in fa41[X(] but despite some early defeats, russia managed to hold the moscow-karknov line and with the help of allied d-day in su43, the tide turned to the allied. by su44, the axis only held italy and w + e germany and down to only 1 panzer [:D] but still got a strong defending force ...

in the pacific, we both played transports hunting game ... but with my 7 CVs against IJN's 3CVs (yes, 3 as i just sank 2 CVs in my last turn) the allied also managed to blow up some of IJN's resources on a regular basis [;)] but its just too early for the allied to start invading tokoyo ...

be honest i think both games may extend beyond '46 so its just our half-time report ... [8|]

Forwan45, feel free to beef-up the AAR, esp if u find that its too one-sided [;)] ...

Isn't fall of 46' end of scenario? hope your not playing without end date! If your victories are split total victory points decides winner.
