Would explain what I've heard of Beer being used as currancy in Egypt.
Okay, never heard that before. Time to go a-Googlin'!

Beer was definitately a medium of exchange in ancient Sumeria. One of earliest law "books" (well it was carved in stone) has a register of proper salaries for officials measured in Beer!

Mark VII,
"Hard liquor never gave me hang overs like beer and wine do"
natural wine does not give hang overs. I was very surprised when I realized it. How? A guy in my mom's village makes his own wine. Only grapes. NO chemical sh**, 100% natural (well, the grapes may contain chemical substances, right). You may drink 1, 2 or 3 liters: no hang overs on next day. In other words, I deduced the chemical products make the difference.
As for beers, has anyone drunk 100% natural beer? No hang overs either?

Perhaps it would be best to consider BEER as mankind's first "spice". We know that strong spices like pepper were litterally worth their weight in gold in the Middle Ages because they could disguise the flavor of un-refrigerated food that was "past it's prime". Maybe if viewed from the standpoint that a few beers can make anything look and taste better..., even the Wife! Would explain what I've heard of Beer being used as currancy in Egypt.
Yeah Mike, we're on the same frequency:
