I'd have to reinstall it and find the patch to remember for sure. IIRC the biggest complaint was the inability of the LW to destroy or damage a/c on the ground in raids but I think that was adjusted a couple of times.

If I can find the time I'll fire it back up and provide some feedback.

yes, one of the patches worked on planes on the ground, bombers still don't really seem to do much at all, but Sweeps can get some kills

the last patch for BoB was 1.02

Watchtower here - I another who applied for the BTR forum but never heard anything from what I remember. Been playing BOB & BTR most weeks for a long, long time. Still love them to bits along with Witp (UV is retired now for me). Was overjoyed when Matrix picked them up. Will be posting some ideas.

Try registering again. JC was AWOL for a while so no accounts were activated. While he was a way EZ Board had all their servers wiped by a hacker and months of posts were lost so anything pending was also lost. Now JC is back yout account might get activated.

There is loads of good stuff on the site (hints, tips, bugs) but you will have to search around.

we had some trouble on the forum, so JC had changed the rules to get in, then the real world jumped up and bit him, so he was not around as much as he normally was, so a lot of requests didn't get seen

i had the habit to lurk in the witp forum , when i saw some message in the bob/btr section
i pick a aar section , and i recognise James telling one our ferocious air battle !
the world is small [;)]
I hope and wait a lot of improvement for this two games especially a editor
and more scenario.
If i feel clever i could share some information to add some bombing site in
near Paris .

i suppose we are talking about the map set up of the last patch ?
I suggest to rename the sw area of Paris which is named Versailles .
Versailles is not really part of the Paris area , 20 km away in the west,
so create a town/rail a bit 1 or 2 cm left of paris.
the former area versailles could be renamed Boulogne-Billancourt , and you could move
inside the Renault factories .
To say a bit of history , the managers Renauds&sons ... were a bit too efficient and
cooperative with their german host , so the factories were nationalized at the liberation.
My father , recalled to been rushed with his sister and mother in cave when the factories were bombed,
he was too young to remember more , but his sister says me that in 1943 1944 , their was aerial daylight attack , some night alert , but she cannnot confirmed if it was really an attack.
Their were living in Boulogne Billancourt.
You could add too near Versailles 1 cm south , a town named Trappes , it was and it is still a major
railway junction and maintenance facilities , in his memories Clostermann talked about the railroad targets , in the woods nearby where i use to do some campfire ( i was in the boyscouts forgive me !)))) ) i noticed a lot of crater , later in a historic regional newspaper i learned their was
heavy bombardement in 1944 prior for the D-Day and a lot of scattering...
i suggest a railway class 2 for versailles and Trappes.
I have too some suggestion for the romanian map . My wife is romanian , and she came frome Campina
the town is present , and a oil raffinery has dissapeared between the patch (Steaua Romana )
according to her uncle who still work inside , the raffinery was created at the end of the XIX century... and local account i heard about the Us Bombardement of 1943 , where some bombing took places near Campina.
Why there is not too some aircraft factories ( IAR ) near Brasov ? Historical they were present as soon as Romania build an air force pre wwI !

Hi all, I'm Laurent on JC's forum and in real life, and AmiralLaurent on Matrix forum (I grew ambitious with time).

Never played BOB, played BTR for years, then UV, then WITP... usually one at the time, but I just finished my last UV campain. Haven't touched BTR for 2 years, but a new version is definietly an exciting idea. I played almost no other game during all those years.

My hobbies are: conquering the world (in WITP), WWII history research, conquering the world (in WITP), photography, conquering the world (in WITP), food&wine (I'm French).

I lurked on JCs forum as JoeTentpeg and was consumed with UV shortly after it came out.

Now WitP PBEM keeps me busy, and new way for Laurent to kick my @ss (first as the Germans in BTR, then as Allies in UV, now as the Japanese in WitP)

I snuck about on the BTR boards as Doors13... more of a lurker there though. Been pretty obsessed with UV/WiTP since they came out, and playing them has cut down my posting here even...

I haven't played BTR in awhile, but seeing this is starting to put the bug back in my system!
