Suffice it to say that both Warspite and POW have been caught fleeing and sank by the IJN.

To top it off Arizona was caught at Canton and despite haing a full sqn of F4F's there no CAP (they were on 90%)

This is nuts

Also my BC's were spotted at Christmas Having gotten POW through the gap between Sumatra and Java I am pissed off to have lost her Sneer is using his CV strenght well but then having eliminated mine on day 1 what chance do I have.

OK now the good news I have managed to sneak in 4 Transports to Singapore so my supplies are rising

[:D] I don't think Sing is going to just fall over in this game [:D]

Hehheeh aye I am now considering trying to hold onto Burma.

I reckon I have 7 Divisons at malaya if I can keep them supplied and behind forts it will be a hard job for Sneer to take me down.

I have 60k supplies at Singapore and about 15k at Johore so this will be an interesting fight

I may even consider reinforcing....

I wish that WitP modeled the monsoon season in Burma. If Singapore lasts as long as it should, then the IJA would be lucky to make it to Moulmein before the monsoon kicked in. Maybe in WitP 2...

One trick is use all the teeny tiny transports that CHS added (AKs that can carry anywhere between 100 and 1200 supplies) and stuff them into Palembang or Medan.. they have a high maneuver value, and if you send them out in single-ship TFs, japanese LBA hardly even attacks them.. they stand a great chance of getting through to Singapore, taking in supplies and running troops out [:)]

Hmm I am going to try and delay at Johore for as long as I contest the air.

I am not planning on evaccing to be honest.

7 Divs plus 2 Armoured Bdes behind lvl 9 forts on Singapore In supply will be a very very hard fight for Sneer.

I recieve a strong reinforcement corps in this game early 50th (Northumbrian) Div and 2nd NZ Div arrive quite soon add those to 2nd and 18th Divs and 4th Indian Div in India and 5th Indian Div arrives soon plus the 4 rebuilding Indian Divs and I need to strongly consider reinforcing Burma thats 3 strong Divs as reinforcement over stock I can take risks.

The weird thing about Ironstorm is that although the Japanese are a lot stronger and have more assets at sea and in the air the British are in a better position on the ground and this is important because Burma and India are land campaigns.

If only I had my old favourites the 51st (Highland) Division as well but they are still reconstituting after St Valery at this time the Geordies of the 50th will just have to do !!!!

I am able to escort convoys through when his carriers withdraw to fuel up.

1st attack on Johore but I am not to worried as the fortsa re nearly rebuilt already and by guaging the adjusted AV I will be able to judge better when and if to withdraw.

P38F's of 2nd AVG make there operation debut over Singapore and immediatley prove themselves.

I only have aircraft for 1 Sqn so I have given these beasts to the AVG so lets see what happens.

I still have 200 operational fighters at Singapore with another 150 of mixed types in airfields on Java and Sumatra and a further 100 in India / Burma.

It is going to take a while for the IJAAF to gain air superiorty over Singapore !!!!

Today after only 2 weeks of war the Emperor Hirohito accepted a negotiated settlement.
