Forgive probably a dumb question... Is there any disadvantage in getting the download copy compared to the physical copy?
Unless a printed manual is provided (as in GGWAW's store release), I can't see any disadvantage. I buy virtually ALL my games via direct download.
Though honestly i like the box-art and feel compelled to purchase its physical stock.[;)]

Just a quick "thank you" to all that have worked on this fine re-issue. Brings back long gone memories, well done boys...
Downloading as we speak.

I've had time to play a few turns of a couple different scenarios and it looks good to me so far.

I'll just throw in my two cents as a long time purchaser of Matrix Games products. Unless they have changed their way of business, the phyical shipment gets you the same installation executable you would get by downloading, but burned to a CD with the serial number printed on the label. The CD comes in a plastic DVD case with a color cover. That's it, no printed manual. People occasionally think that phyical shipment equates to printed manual, but it usually doesn't. I bought my first Matrix Games game as a physical shipment, but since then I just burn the installation file and the email with the serial number onto a CD, write the serial number on the CD as well, put it into an empty DVD case (I have loads of these I got at an office equipment store closing [;)]) and print my own cover insert. Ugly but functional, sort of like me [8D]

I believe that there are no plans to include a printed manual in the physical copy. You can, of course, print your own, from the PDF version of the manual that ships with the product.
That settles that. Was looking for a printed manual but no biggie. How many pages is the PDF manual? Is it generally the same as the COW manual? I still have that.
I will be treating myself to an early Father's Day present immediately after work today. THANKS! [:)]

The manual has been comprehensively corrected and augmented and in its PDF form it stands at 78 pages.
TOAW III is definitely a nice present for a Father's Day, even an early one [;)]

Thanks Jamiam,
Yes I have ACOW installed.
I guess there is little point in keeping it or TOAW1 or 2 about now?
COW still can do some things which TOAW III cannot, though hopefully that'll change in the near future. TOAW volumes I & II are as before only useful for converting old scenarios to COW. I'd recommend keeping them unless you need the disk space.

It just feels so much better to get that game box in the post, doesn't it? Like Christmas come early...

Can you expand upon that?

He's probably talking about BioEd support. It isn't going to work with TOAW III until someone updated BioEd.

Yeah, basically.
Shouldn't be any other shortcomings but I will need to play around a bit once I've got my copy.
Over at TDG we're already discussing porting the BioEd. Would Biohazard be considered a "contributor" if he updated it for TOAW III? [;)]

Absolutely, even if I have to pay for it myself. I'll pop over there.
