Well it's been a long time since this has been updated, so here we are up to 2/17/43. The game has been pretty quit since 11/42 or so as Ramjet tried to invade Saipan are taking Wake back. I saw his ships several days out so I move my ships and planes there to challenge this. I had a few CD's and almost two divisons on Saipan along with a good mine field. Well the guns and mines did a goood number on him and my ships sunk one of his carriers and a few BB's while he damaged a lot of my ships. This left the Marine division marooned with a few see bee units and a tank unit where I destroyed the whole lot of them. Over all I think it was to quick, to soon, to little in trying to take Saipan. I think he thought since he got Wake back he could make a quick strike into my inner defense, well it failed. He owns Tarawa and is starting to bomb the Islands north of there. In the Burma area he hols Aykab and is bombing Rangoon from there, where it is a back and forth battle. China is pretty much a stalemate, not much to say there. In OZ I took the northern bases of Darwin and such, which I still hold, and really did it to protect my SRA from attack early in the game. In the Solomans I hold all and PM as he has not tried to move from NC and Luganville yet north. So that is where we are at. He is starting to equal or beet me in the air and I know it will only get worse as it goes.

Well a little more action has taken place. About 2/27/43 Ramjet invaded Maloelap from I think Tarawa, The only thing there was a BF and a lot of mines protecting it. Well he laded with no surface ship support or mine sweepers, so he got ashore but I think in not good shape as guns and mines did a number on his ships and men. So I got into action and sent some troops from Kwal. to tip the tide and formed a few surface and air tf from Turk. Thye set sailed but got there to late as he took the insland two days after he land while I was landing a naval ground force. My surface flett came in on the morning of the 2nd of March and sunk what was left of his invasion fleet and then bombarded while another naval ground force landed and retook the island on the 2nd with the destruction of the 32nd USA division. Also during that day a few of my ships hit my mines becasue the base cahnged hands and my carriers floowing the surface forces sunk a tf of mine sweepers send in to clear mines a few days to late. So on the 3rd of March a carrier or carriers showed up and hit a minelayer tf north of Maloelap and sunk them but did not sight my carriers which in turned lunch strikes and put some bombs into the Yorktown with out return fire on myself.

Also a few days before he took Narau from me, but other than take not much is going on.

Well another day and another Island trying to be invaded by Ramjet, today (3/5/43) he landed the 53 RCT on Mili where it was meet by 2 baseforces and a SNLF unit. The attack failed on the first try and his ships hit a bunch of mines, again no msw's in the tf. His carriers hung around a little to long as the Essex took a 2 torps from Nells and Betties, but I think she will live to see another day. I love giving him trouble in the Marshalls as this is nothing he will see when he gets to more defended parts of the Empire. I have figured out that he is going to bypass the Solomons (at least it looks like he is). In other news my economy is running well, China is going no where, and I am digging in waiting for some great battles.

Well we had a good today running air battle over Rangoon on the 10 andd 11 of March 43. I lost over a 100 Tony's while he lost close to 100 P38G's. I also lost a few Tojo's afew A6M3a while I got very few of the new Lib bombers the British have brought to Aykab. I think the losses to his P38G's hurt him as he did not attack the next 2 days, but that could also be becasue it was raining. A few groups of mine where moved to train in Java as he still has a few ground units dying there.

Well he have had a few more major raids over Rangoon. I am starting to take the worst of these things. Also Ramjet made a move on Nanchang so I countered from Wuhan and he backed off. So basically there has been little action and I am sorry for that. I am just waiting for him to attack and we will she where it goes.

Well it's 4/20/43 and it seems Ramjet is up to something. After making me move my planes out of Rangoon becasue of the p38's of the AVg and the B24's he has decided to put a surface taskforce square on Rangoon, why is he doing this? I think he is up to something and so I sent a Cv force from Singapore to investigate, and moved a few more bombers into Bangkok where they can reach the area. I hit a few of his ships as the p38's tried to cover them from 5 or 6 hexes. I still do not know what he is up to, but should know in a few turns.

Well it looks like he is trying to land some troops South of Rangoon. I have a CVL force and a battle fleet in the area and my planes out of Bangkok put a hurting on his ships as aircover is very weak, He however put some bombs on the bb's just artifical damage.
