after few days break due to some Fasching (carnival) "issues" here to me, Fuelli bombed his stop to all celebrations[;)]
His LBA attacked some supply convoy at the Shortlands. My CAP of course stood no chance against 50...60 F4U a/c strong ecsort... Lost 20 Zeros plus a few Tonys defending the ships, but I guess it could have come worse.

The Tony´s did break off air combat very early, so they had only minor impact but also suffered minor losses then.[X(]

before my opponent left for some days off, he ordered my cripples to be sunk... However, only one Maru made it to the bottom.
The Tony is performing considerable well, while the Zeros are clearly outclassed yet.

now, in late 1943, the little successes are the things you cheer about... Finally my patrol A/C planted the first bomb into a "real" ship. WOW...![;)]
The enemy retaliated by several barges put under...

finally some surface action commenced once again. Fuellis TF netted two barges at Gasmata, while my ships shelled Finschhafen (with little success)

In the air, the enemy launched some heavies against several Transport TF of me. In bad weather, it cost him nine bombers (6 B17 and three other heavy LBA).

Only few ships hit, medium damage.

The prime question is: for whom is it more dangerous? For a few of Frank´s photographers to get shot down or for me to get invaded...?![X(]

as mentioned already before, the little things makes the Japanese player happy in these days.
Last night a medium sized bombardment group shelled the forward allied base of Gavigamana, with some neat results. However, is it worth the effort to come down from the paradise of Truk Atoll to achieve this? Even more so beeing aware of allied A/C supplies in stock and the sys wear that such a high speed run can cause to my precious vessels!?! They have to be ready in time, actually...

Good question. I would say No[;)]

next level recon: some paras dropped at Lunga. Five Dakotas were lost in that operation.
