I managed to surround a small stack north of Stalingrad:

I've got 440 AP's. Anybody have a good idea what to spend it on? AAA units for the airbases? Stug's for the divisions?

T64: Did I mention that I upgraded to the 1.05.037 beta version?
This is the front lines in the deep south now.

440 APs !
1) Leaders ?
2) sometimes I shift whole Armies to a nearer Army Group HQ
a) because of a negative value for the "Distance to HQ" (see Comm.Report)
b) because I don't want to overload Army Group HQs too much with Command points
c) same applies for Corps, they sometime shift to another, neighboring Army
3) do you play with locked HQs ?

As you can see Far had the HQ's all set up to a support level of 3 instead of locked.

T65: Here's the front lines in the south without any Soviet recon or movement:

I've just received the turn from Far, opened it and looked at the ground losses and found this: Far must have been doing some attacking
on his own. Probably against the Italians, they are an easy target.

I looked up all the Soviet battles and found about 10 of them. I decided to look them up. I'll show you what I find.

Here's where two of the Axis attacks were. In both cases the Italian defenders either routed or retreated. So now I have a hole in my
front lines.

Here's the site of a Soviet ground bombing where I lost 5 men and an arty tube.

Here's the results of three more attacks. I'm beginning to see that the Italian's and Slov's can't be placed in the front lines. I gotta pull
back so the line will be shorter so I can man the line with Germans only ( maybe ).

Here's my moves in the south. I pulled back a little to be in better supply. I'm thinking of pulling back even more but maybe in a
future turn.

I managed to carve out a pocket between Stalingrad and Krasnador.

You could use them to straighten out your godawful command situation. The technical term for your deployment is known as a "Charlie Foxtrot". To fix your Charlie Foxtrot, just work your way down the line, and click the 'assign to closest HQ' button for each unit until all the colors are in order. Your units will fight better, and their supply situation will improve.

Hey that's actually a good idea. That and replace tired leaders. And maybe do a manual upgrade on selected planes. The CF you refer to......... the first word stands for Cluster if I'm not mistaken.

T66: I got overambitious last turn, started to make a pocket and ran out of MP's. Now my tanker dude is isolated. Great.

I had successfully made two separate pockets in this area last turn. Far has broken both of them.

So I went to the trouble to form those two pockets again. Maybe they will hold this time.
